Il presente saggio si propone d’indagare, anche con l’ausilio di diverse illustrazioni, il significato delle immagini nell’opera di Leonardo Sciascia, così come il suo personale approccio alla realtà, guidato da una vera e propria ermeneutica dello sguardo. Ne consegue l’individuazione di una fitta e stratificata rete intertestuale – all’insegna della circolarità di temi e motivi iconografici - e il riconoscimento di un’attitudine pittorico-visiva che sostanzia la scrittura dell’autore. L'articolo è corredato di numerose immagini.

The article explores Roberta Torre’s film Sud Side Stori (2000), an extravagant Italian re-vision of Romeo and Juliet set in the Sicilian city of Palermo which displays awareness of the global circulation of the story of the two ‘‘star-crossed lovers’’. In the film, which combines neo-realist cinematographic techniques with the artificial style of the musical, Shakespeare’s young lovers become Toni Giulietto, a lousy local rock singer, and Romea Wacoubo, a beautiful Nigerian prostitute who falls in love with him when she sees him standing on his balcony. Low-cost wireless measurement of objects' temperature is one of the greatest expectation of radiofrequency identification technology for the so many applications in cold supply-chain control and safety assessment in general. In this context, the paper proposes a dual-chip UHF tag embedding shape memory alloys (SMA) able to transform the variation of the tagged item's temperature into a permanent change of antenna radiation features. The effects of brand engagement in social media on share of wallet

Customer engagement and share‐of‐wallet (SOW) are relatively new in the marketing literature, and academic research has only limitedly examined these concepts. This study presents five motivational drivers of customer brand engagement in social media and examines the nature of the relationship between these drivers and engagement. The moderation effect of consumer innovativeness on the relationship between engagement and SOW is also examined. Results suggest that community exerts the strongest positive effect on customer brand engagement and that such engagement positively influences SOW. A Model for the Study of Sheath Currents in Medium Voltage Cables for Industrial Application

In this paper, the implementation of a simulation model for studying the effect of cross-bonding of metallic sheaths and/or non-magnetic armor of single-core medium voltage cables in the same circuit is discussed. With the use of single-core cables, the resistive losses due to the induced circulating currents in cable sheaths or armors causes an increase of cable temperature that reduces its ampacity. In addition, the risk of electric shock due to induced voltages may be present if a person is exposed to the armor/sheath at the unbounded end. The minority paradigm attributed to late 14th century storytellers reveals its insufficiency in the light of the most recent theoretical debate on gender.In the essay it is observed how the adoption of a narrative subject highlights, in the novelistic texts in question, an asymmetrical textual ratio, the mixture of literary and spoken language, are elements of an experimental tension. In the Autumn of the Middle Ages, the metamorphosis of the novel, considered in the face of contemporary figurative languages, also brings to light the dynamic game of plural and unitary, closed and open, as a founding trait of modern narrative processes.
