Coach-athlete perceived congruence between actual and desired emotions in karate competition and training

Coaches can help athletes regulate emotions but would benefit from tools that help them accurately perceive athletes' emotions. In the present study, we investigated the use of video-recorded performances to compare 3 martial artists' ratings of desired and actual emotions with their coach's ratings. Results show how desired emotions progressively fluctuated throughout competition. Furthermore, desired and actual emotions differed between training and performance contexts. Finally, we report correlations between performance and perceived congruence in desired and actual emotions. El sistema verbal búlgar conserva en principi l’esquema antic. La tendència que antigament operà sobre els sistemes eslaus convertint el perfet en un passat general sembla que també va actuar en búlgar, però menà a resultats diferents. Una innovació fou el valor testimonial associat als temps passats, davant del valor neutre dels no-passats. El sistema s’ha enriquit amb altres innovacions basades sobre els valors de perfet: perfets secundaris, formes narratives, mode conclusiu i formes dubitatives.

Grounded in phraseology and corpus linguistics, this paper aims to explore the use of bilingual lexical bundles to improve the degree of naturalness and textual fit of translated texts. More specifically, this study attempts to identify lexical bundles, that is, recurrent sequences of 3–7 words with similar discursive functions in a purpose-designed comparable corpus of English and Polish patient information leaflets, with 100 text samples in each language. Because of cross-linguistic differences, we additionally apply a number of formal criteria in order to filter out the bundles in each subcorpus. El text proposa una reflexió sobre els criteris que configuren les marques i els llocs literaris dels autors clàssics, més enllà del seu rigor històric, a més d’examinar alguns factors determinants en la seua transposició didàctica. Ens centrem en el poeta Ausiàs March (1400-1459), a partir dels llocs vinculats a la seua vida i d’algunes marques literàries que la seua figura ha generat.
