Like many of Wenders’ films, the book Una volta (Einmal. Bilder und Geschichten, 1994; Once: Pictures and Stories) is the result of a fruitful encounter between different arts. Fra i numerosi romanzi tedeschi che si imposero sulla scena editoriale dell’Italia degli anni Venti e Trenta, i Frauenromane, romanzi scritti da donne e rivolti a donne, veicolavano il modello della Neue Frau weimariana, donna lavoratrice, economicamente indipendente e sessualmente emancipata.
