Background: Heart failure (HF) is a major and growing public health problem worldwide. Across the world, heart failure is associated with high mortality, high hospitalization rates, and poor quality of life. Self-care is defined as a naturalistic decision-making process involving the choice of behaviors that maintain physiologic stability, the response to symptoms when they occur, and the ability to follow the treatment regimen and control symptoms. Objective: To assess self-esteem and depression in patients submitted for orthognathic surgery. Methods: Assessment was realized on 29 patients, male and female, aged 17 to 46, presenting Angle Class III malocclusion and referred for surgical treatment, during the preoperative (orthodontic preparation) and postoperative (six-month postoperative) periods. The implementation of public policies by the local government is connocted with new forms of management. It is a set of actions based on principles that are one of many possible criteria for typology. The models built on this basis allow for comparison of local govermments in Western and Central-Eastern Europe. We gain a picture of differences and similarities in the implementation of own tasks, the approach to the problem of deconcentration and decentralization of power, and new management at the local level aimed at optimizing the effects of public policies.

Aineistona käytetään kuutta maalausta, jotka kuvittavat viktoriaanisen runoilijan Alfred Tennysonin The Lady of Shalott -runoa. Tutkittavat maalarit kuuluivat prerafaeliittien koulukuntaan ja maalaukset sijoittuvat aikavälille 1858-1915. (2-Pyridyl)sulfonyl Groups for ortho -Directing Palladium- Catalyzed Carbon-Halogen Bond Formation at Functionalized Arenes

International audience; We describe an efficient palladium-catalyzed selective C-H ortho-monohalogenation (X=I, Br, Cl, F) of various functionalized (2-pyridyl) aryl-sulfones. ortho-, meta-and para-functionalization is tolerated at the arene group which undergoes C-H halogenation. Some modifications are also possible on the 2-(arylsulfonyl) heteroaryl directing groups. A comparison of the halogenation efficiency suggests that bromination is the practical method of choice, while chlorination and fluorination are possible but more challenging. Under forcing conditions ortho-dihalogenation can also be achieved.
