La présentation reviendra sur une démarche de débat citoyen organisé à partir d’une plateforme numérique pensée collectivement durant la crise sanitaire liée au Convid-19. Il s’agit d’opérer un retour critique au sens où nous interrogerons les tenants et les aboutissants d’une telle démarche, entendons les limites et les points forts, les doutes et les certitudes. Notre présentation s’articulera autour de trois questions : Qu’est-ce qu’une « ingénierie du sensible » ?Qu’est-ce que veut dire « représentatif » ? Qu’est-ce que veut dire « scientifique » ? A novel putative insect chitinase with multiple catalytic domains: hormonal regulation during metamorphosis

0264-6021 (Print) Journal Article Research Support, Non-U.S. Gov't; We have used differential display to identify genes that are regulated by juvenile hormone in the epidermis of the beetle Tenebrio molitor. One of the genes encodes T. molitor chitinase 5 (TmChit5), a chitinase possessing an unusual structure. Sequence analysis of TmChit5 identified five 'chitinase units' of approx. 480 amino acids with similarity to chitinase family 18. These units are separated by less conserved regions containing putative PEST (rich in proline, glutamic acid, serine and threonine) sequences, putative chitin-binding domains and mucin domains. Developments in the use of baculoviruses for the surface display of complex eukaryotic proteins

The ability to couple genotype to phenotype has proven to be of immense value in systems such as phage display and has allowed genes encoding novel functions to be selected directly from complex libraries. However, the complexity of many eukaryotic proteins places a severe constraint on successful display in Escherichia coli. This restriction could be resolved if a eukaryotic virus could be similarly engineered for display purposes. An analysis of the scientific productivity and visibility of publications on usability (1971-2005)

Aims: To analyse usability-related articles published in the period 1971-2005 from a bibliometric point of view. Methods: A search for articles was made in the CSIC databases, the Social Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index, PsycInfo, MEDLINE and Inspec databases, using ad hoc search strategies designed for each. Contribution, specific contribution and overlap indices were calculated, as were the indicators of change in scientific production, the productivity of institutions and journals, and the distribution of journals by area of knowledge.
