Probabilistic Evaluation of the Adaptation Time for Structures under Seismic Loads

Abstract In this paper, a probabilistic approach for the evaluation of the adaptation time for elastic perfectly plastic frames is proposed. The considered load history acting on the structure is defined as a suitable combination of quasi-statical loads and seismic actions. The proposed approach utilizes the Monte Carlo method in order to generate a suitable large number of seismic acceleration histories and for each one the related load combination is defined. Although professional agency has become an increasingly crucial issue in work organizations, investigators lack a brief instrument to measure it. This paper introduces a short measure to explore professional agency at work. Our aim was to shorten the original 17-item Professional Agency Measure, while also exploring its usability for cross-validating questionnaire datasets, and investigating the relationship between professional agency and work engagement. Līdz šim ir pētīti vidusskolēnu viedokļi par nākotnes izglītības izvēles iespējām, bet nav veikts pētījums par kādu konkrētu profesiju. Pētījumā tiek aprakstīti galvenie ietekmes faktori cilvēku apziņas veidošanās procesā, kas nosaka indivīda izvēles. Tiek aplūkots ikdienā nepieciešamās informācijas meklēšanas modelis, kas atspoguļo indivīdu izvēles ceļus konkrēta informācijas resursa izvēlē. Kvalitatiivisessa tutkimuksessani tarkastelin, mitä keinoja neljässä eri liikuntaneuvonnan palveluketjun kehittämis – projekteihin osallistuneissa terveyskeskuksissa käytettiin oppimiseen osallistamisessa ja miten työyhteisöissä oppimiseen sitouduttiin. Tutkimusaineistonani olivat hankkeen aikana kerätty dokumenttimateriaali, joka käsitti hankkeiden aikaiset terveyskeskusten vastuutiimien tuutortapaamisten kokousmuistiot (n=21), työmuistiot (n=10) ja tutkijatuutorin kokouksien havaintomuistiot (n=21). Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a pandemic infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus SARS-COV-2. Aberrant innate immunity response and cytokine storm are responsible for the syndrome. Apparently, in asthmatic patients, the inadequate antiviral immune response and the tendency for asthma exacerbation evoked by common respiratory viruses could explain increased susceptibility to SARS-COV-2 infection. However, asthma has not been suggested to be a risk factor in COVID-19 patients.
