Background: The COVID-19 pandemic is a massive health crisis that has exerted enormous physical and psychological pressure. Mental healthcare for healthcare workers (HCWs) should receive serious consideration. This study served to determine the mental-health outcomes of 1,556 HCWs from 45 countries who participated in the COVID-19 IMPACT project, and to examine the predictors of the outcomes during the first pandemic wave. COVID-19 hit the global economy hard in early 2020, and airline industry was among the biggest commercial victims. Governments closed borders, the virus scared off travelers and the aircraft stayed on the ground to a large extent. The forecasted record year turned out to be the worst in the history of aviation. This study focused on the concerns of airline customers and analyzed the differences between the customer behavior in two focus markets, Finland and Sweden. The article is based on a questionnaire and the answers of 2004 airline customers. Visible parts of fractal percolation

We study dimensional properties of visible parts of fractal percolation in the plane. Provided that the dimension of the fractal percolation is at least 1, we show that, conditioned on non-extinction, almost surely all visible parts from lines are 1-dimensional. Furthermore, almost all of them have positive and finite Hausdorff measure. We also verify analogous results for visible parts from points. These results are motivated by an open problem on the dimensions of visible parts.

Tutkielman kirjallisessa osiossa käsitellään steroidirungon eri synteesimenetelmiä. Synteesimenetelmät esitellään niiden synteesistrategioiden mukaan, jotka on edelleen jaoteltu niissä esiintyvien reaktioiden tai yleisten lähtöaineiden pohjalta. Johdannossa käydään lyhyesti läpi steroidien rakenne ja niiden biosynteesi ihmisen elimistössä. Tämän jälkeen aloitetaan synteesien tarkastelu sekosteroidi välivaiheisiin pohjautuvista eli steroidirungon keskiosan rakentamiseen keskittyvistä synteesistrategioista, joista siirrytään steroidirungon renkaat järjestyksessä rakentaviin synteeseihin.
