Rare Middle and Upper Devonian dalmanelloid (Orthida) of the Cantabrian Mountains, N Spain

Rare Cantabrian Dalmanellidae ( Costisorthis lisae nov. sp.), Dicoelosiidae ( Teichertina cf. peregrina , T. cf. ?tzroyensis ), and Mystrophoridae ( Mystrophora sp., Biernatium suco i nov. sp., and Biernatium sp. 2) are described and ?gured for the ? rst time in Spain. Most of them are scarce forms that occur only in certain localities. All the species but one came from the lower part of the Portilla (province of Leon) and Candas (province of Asturias) formations, Faunal Interval 21, Polygnathus rhenanus/P. varcus conodont zone, middle Givetian. The exception is Biernatium sp. 2 that occurs in Asturias in FI 25, Pineres Fm., Palmatolepis transitans zone, lower Frasnian. Costisorthis ranges …

Bei aromatischen Nitrojodverbindungen nimmt die ULLMANN-Reaktion unter verhaltnismasig milden Bedingungen einen praktisch quantitativen Verlauf, wenn sich das Jod in der o-Stellung zu einer Nitrogruppe befindet. Mit einer entsprechenden bifunktionellen Verbindung, dem 4,4′-Dijod-3,3′-dinitrobiphenyl, konnte unter den gleichen Bedingungen ein nitrosubstituiertes p-Polyphenylen erhalten werden, ein hellgelbes, unlosliches und unschmelzbares Pulver, das sich bei hoherer Temperatur (> 250°C) zersetzt. Sensorless Control of Induction-Motor Drive Based on Robust Kalman Filter and Adaptive Speed Estimation

This paper deals with robust estimation of rotor flux and speed for sensorless control of motion control systems with an induction motor. Instead of using sixth-order extended Kalman filters (EKFs), rotor flux is estimated by means of a fourth-order descriptor-type robust KF, which explicitly takes into account motor parameter uncertainties, whereas the speed is estimated using a recursive least squares algorithm starting from the knowledge of the rotor flux itself. It is shown that the descriptor-type structure allows for a direct translation of parameter uncertainties into variations of the coefficients appearing in the model, and this improves the degree of robustness of the estimates. Recognition of tree species and geospatial information on tree species composition is essential for forest management. In this study, tree species recognition was examined using hyperspectral imagery from visible to near-infrared (VNIR) and short-wave infrared (SWIR) camera sensors in combination with a 3D photogrammetric canopy surface model based on RGB camera stereo-imagery. An arboretum with a diverse selection of 26 tree species from 14 genera was used as a test area. Los relatos que los cautivos cristianos en el norte de África contaban a las autoridades cristianas de la frontera constituían una fuente de información de primera importancia. A través de ellos no sólo se obtenían datos de relieve estratégico sino también se recibían y elaboraban ideas más generales sobre el enemigo norte-africano y, especialmente, otomano. De esta manera, los informes preparados por las autoridades españolas de la frontera con el Islam y remitidos al Gobierno de la Monarquía hispánica hacían posible la difusión de las ideas propias del mundo de la frontera acerca de turcos y berberiscos.
