Šajā darbā tiek aplūkota parādība, kad 21. gadsimtā reliģiskais atribūts, kā musulmaņu sieviešu galvassega, tiek izaicināts par tā lomu un nozīmi, ko tas pauž islāmā un ārpus tā. Sākotnēji domātas sieviešu pasargāšanai, galvassegas sāk ieņemt politisku raksturu un palikt par ideoloģisku instrumentu savas pārliecības, kā arī reliģiskās identitātes paušanai un izrādīšanai, it sevišķi, kad musulmaņu sievietēm jādzīvo ar šiem atribūtiem Rietumu, konkrēti Eiropas sabiedrībā, kurā ir veicināti un valda plaši izplatīti stereotipi, par to bīstamību, un jāsaskaras ar šo kultūru pat izteikti diametrāli pretējām normām un likumiem. Teorētiski analizēt un praktiski pētīt 6-7 gadus vecu bērnu tikumisko vērtību sekmēšanu, izmantojot mūsdienu animācijas filmas. Diplomdarbs sevī ietver teorētisko daļu un empīrisko daļu. Teorētiskajā daļā tiek apkopotas tādu pedagogu un psihologu kā D. Lieģenieces, D. Dzinteres, E.H. Eriksona, Z. Rubenes, J. Helda atziņas par tikumiskajām vērtībām un digitālo mediju ietekmi uz to sekmēšanu. Empīriskajā daļā tiek veikts pētījums par 6-7 gadus vecu bērnu tikumisko vērtību izpausmi. Balstoties uz teorētiskajām atziņām, tiek izstrādāti un izvirzīti kritēriji tikumisko vērtību sekmēšanai. Darba apjoms: 61 lapaspuse, 4 tabulas, 9 attēli, 3 pielikumi, 34 literatūras avoti.

Differential effects of cysteine and methionine residues in the antioxidant activity of human serum albumin

Antioxidant properties of human serum albumin (HSA) may explain part of its beneficial role in various diseases related to free radical attack. In the present study, the antioxidant role of Cys and Met was studied by copper-mediated oxidation of human low density lipoproteins and by free radical-induced blood hemolysis which essentially assessed metal-chelating and free radical scavenging activities, respectively. Mild conditions were set up to specifically modify Cys and Met residues by N-ethylmaleimide (NEM) and chloramine T treatments, respectively. This manuscript deals with the synthesis of hybrids ligands and their coordination ability. The first part is dedicated to Cp-imidazole, Cp-imidazolium and Cp-phosphine ligands. Several synthetic routes have been developed to reach these mixed ligands and their coordination chemistry has been studied with titanium. In a second part, a method developed in our laboratory to synthesize phosphine-olefines was applied to obtain a phosphino-diene bearing three potential coordination sites. We have studied the coordination modes of this hybrid ligand using various transition metals and some of the formed complexes were tested in catalysis. Toisen maailmansodan ajan propagandassa hyödynnettiin kulttuuria laajasti, mutta myös musiikkiin ilmaantuivat sodan teemat niin laulujen sanoituksiin kuin säveliin. Musiikista tehtiin propagandan väline Suomessa, Saksassa ja Neuvostoliitossa, jolloin musiikkia käytettiin niin oman kansan taistelutahdon kohottamiseen, mutta samalla se hyökkäsi myös vihollista vastaan. Tässä työssä tarkastelen laulujen kuvaa sodasta ja sodan eri ilmiöistä. Musiikissa sota näkyi esimerkiksi nationalistisina sanoituksina ja marssitahteina. Partially hyperbolic diffeomorphisms on Heisenberg nilmanifolds and holonomy maps

Abstract In this note we show that all partially hyperbolic automorphisms on a 3-dimensional non-Abelian nilmanifold can be C 1 -approximated by structurally stable C ∞ -diffeomorphisms, whose chain recurrent set consists of one attractor and one repeller. In particular, all these partially hyperbolic automorphisms are not robustly transitive. As a corollary, the holonomy maps of the stable and unstable foliations of the approximating diffeomorphisms are twisted quasiperiodically forced circle homeomorphisms, which are transitive but non-minimal and satisfy certain fiberwise regularity properties.
