The second-order nonlinear optical susceptibilities χ(2) of several phenylhydrazone and stilbazium salt dyes in Langmuir–Blodgett monolayers have been determined from second-harmonic-generation measurements. Three of the substances demonstrated χ(2) values greater than 10−6 electrostatic units, although two of the three did not absorb light significantly at the second-harmonic wavelength.

Organo-Clay Nanomaterials Based on Halloysite and Cyclodextrin as Carriers for Polyphenolic Compounds

Hybrid material based on halloysite covalently linked to a hyper-reticulated cyclodextrin network was investigated as a potential carrier for polyphenolic compounds. The absorption ability of the hybrid system was studied in different pH conditions as well as the kinetic release of curcumin, chosen as a drug model. A preliminary study was performed to assess the antioxidant capacity of the obtained carrier. Magnetic Langmuir–Blodgett films of ferritin with different iron loadings

Abstract Magnetic Langmuir–Blodgett multilayers of two ferritin molecules 1 and 2 , containing, respectively, 4220 and 3062 Fe atoms have been prepared by using the adsorption properties of a 6/1 mixed monolayer of dioctadecyldimethylammonium bromide (DODABr) and methyl stearate (SME). Transfer ratios close to unity were reached giving rise to LB films with a strong red colour. Infrared and UV–vis spectroscopy indicates that ferritin molecules are incorporated within the LB films. Magnetic measurements show that the superparamagnetic properties of these molecules are preserved. È sulla base dei doni che interpreta offese e vendetta come inversioni dei meccanismi di reciprocità positiva in cui è calata. Partendo dunque dall’assunto che Medea sia, innanzitutto, una “donatrice al femminile”, il contributo esamina le più rilevanti rappresentazioni della sua storia mitica alla luce della categoria del dono. Bibliogrāfiskā rādītāja izstrādē izmantots Latvijas Nacionālās digitālās bibliotēkas portāls periodika.lv. Rezultāti tika atlasīti, izvēloties pētījumam nepieciešamo laika periodu. Lai apkopotu bibliogrāfiskajam rādītājam atbilstošus rakstus, tika veikta visu publikāciju kvalitatīvā satura analīze.
