Polypropylene/graphene nanoplatelets nanocomposites subjected to elongational flow

In this work the effect of the presence of graphene nanoplatelets (GnP) on the morphology and mechanical properties of polypropylene/GnP nanocomposites has been investigated when these polymer systems are subjected to non-isothermal elongational flow in a melt spinning operation. The presence of the GnP magnifies the effect of the elongational flow. Indeed, the elastic modulus and the tensile strength increases with the orientation more than that observed for the pure matrix.

In the framework of Salinity Gradient Power technologies, Reverse ElectroDialysis (RED) is one of the most promising. In RED, two solutions of different salt concentration are fed into a series of alternate compartments, the one fed by the low salinity solution, the other by the high salinity solution. Compartments are separated by anion and cation exchange membranes alternatively piled to form a stack. Selective ion transport from the concentrate compartment to the dilute one across the membranes allows to generate an ionic current, which is eventually converted into electric current by means of suitable electrode compartments closing the stack. This study presents how to improve the short-term forecast of photovoltaic plant's output power by applying the Long Short-Term Memory, LSTM, neural networks for industrial-scale solar power plants in Vietnam under possible curtailment operation. Since the actual output power does not correspond to the available power, new techniques (Global Horizontal Irradiance - GHI interval division, P/GHI factor addition (P - Power)) have been designed and applied for processing errors and missing data. The focus of legislators, authorities and academics on the temporal dimension of sus-tainable actions has led to the progressive re-emerge of the contrast between long-termism and short-termism, that is frequent indeed in corporate law. The orientation to long-term decisions and attempts to stem the short-term ones have been a main point of recent legislative measures on this topic. This paper aims to critically re-evaluate the above contrast, highlighting some of the most relevant areas that most need regulatory interventions and suggesting abandon-ing the frequent short-term disfavor.

The success or failure of a diplomatic mission depended greatly upon the ambassador’s skills of persuasion, a product of the efficacy of his words and their suitability to his audience. Leonardo.
