Rat PIPPin is probably part of a large complex of RNA-binding proteins

Throughout rat brain development, expression of histones variants is mainly regulated at the post-transcriptional level. We previously cloned two cDNAs encoding, respectively, PIPPin (or CSD-C2), a brain-enriched protein able to bind the 3’end of H1° and H3.3 mRNAs, and LPI (longer isoform of PEP-19). Both PEP-19 and LPI are brain-specific. By western blot, we found that PIPPin expression in PC12 cells is enhanced by NGF-induced differentiation. We investigated the RNA-binding properties of the three proteins using their 6 histidine-tagged recombinant fusions and found that they all bind H1° and H3.3 RNAs. In this literature review, the integration of both acidic and alkaline pretreatment phases of hardwood and softwood chips with chemical pulping is discussed. Darba teorētisko pamatu veido telpiskās uztveres teorijas, Leikofa un Džonsona kognitīvo metaforu teorija, Maglio un Metlokas interneta telpisko metaforu koncepcija, strukturālās līdzības un konceptuālās saplūšanas teorijas. Šis darbs ir veltīts vispārināto un jaukto modeļu veidošanai telpiskiem datiem. Darbā ir dots teorētisks apraksts par telpiskām statistikām, to korelāciju un ar kādām metodēm to novērot. Darbs satur vispārināto lineāro, vispārināto aditīvo modeļu aprakstu, kā arī šo modeļu paplašinājumus vispārināto lineāro jaukto modeli un vispārināto aditīvo jaukto modeli. Telpiskiem datiem tiek konstruēti modeļi.

Kontrastjutības izmaiņas dažādos fona spožuma līmeņos kataraktas pacientiem

Bakalaura darbs uzrakstīts latviešu valodā uz 32 lapām. Darbs sastāv no ievada, teorētiskās un praktiskās daļas. Darbs satur 18 attēlus, 3 tabulas un 29 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Darba mērķis: izvērtēt kontrastredzes jutību pacientiem ar kataraktu un bez kataraktas pie dažādiem fona līmeņiem. Metode un dalībnieki: pētījumā piedalījās divas dalībnieku grupas – 36, cilvēki kuriem dignosticēta kataraka, un 16 cilvēku kontrolgurpa, kuru vidējais vecums ir 51 gads un nav novērotas nekādas acu saslimšanas. One-pot synthesis of three enaminones, (E)-1-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-morpholinoprop-2-en-1-one 1, (E)-1-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-(4-methylpiperazin-1-yl)prop-2-en-1-one 2, and (E)-1-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-(pyrrolidin-1-yl)prop-2-en-1-one 3 were achieved. The synthetic protocol via three components reaction of p-chloroacetophenone with DMFDMA (N,N-dimethylformamid-dimethylacetal) and the corresponding secondary amines (morpholine/N-methylpiperazine/pyrrolidine) in dioxane under heating for 2.5–4 h at 102 °C yielded the requisite enaminones. Maternal parenting styles, homework help, and children’s literacy development in language minority and Finnish-speaking families

The aim of this study was to examine the role of mothers’ (language minority mothers, LM, n = 49, and Finnish-speaking mothers, MP, n = 368) parenting styles and maternal help with their children’s homework in the children’s (mean age 11.43 years) literacy skills at fourth grade in Finland. In addition, the moderating effect of a child’s gender on this relationship was investigated. The results showed that the LM mothers used psychological control more than MP mothers. Pēdējo desmitgažu laikā, zemes lietošanas veidu un zemes segumu izmaiņas pasaulē ir kļuvušas par vienām no aktuālākajām pētījuma tēmām sabiedrībā, īpaši saistībā ar ilgstpējības jautājumu. Zemes izmantošanas struktūrai un zemes lietošanas veidiem raksturīgs mainīgums gan telpiskā, gan temporālā aspektā. To galvenokārt nosaka antropogēnie faktori, t.sk. sociālie, ekonomiskie un politiskie, savukārt biofizikālajiem faktoriem, t.sk. augsnes faktoram ir būtiska nozīme augstāk minēto antropogēno faktoru noteikšanā. Tämän lisensiaattitutkielman kirjallisessa osassa esitettiin kuvaus biomassoista, (ligno- selluloosamateriaalit) ja niihin pohjautuvien jalostettujen polttoaineiden tuotannon haasteista ja kustannuksta sekä tarkasteltiin biomassaraaka-aineiden esikäsittelymene- telmiä.
