ABSTRACT Ralstonia solanacearum phylotype II biovar 2 causes bacterial wilt in solanaceous hosts, producing severe economic losses worldwide. Waterways can be major dissemination routes of this pathogen, which is able to survive for long periods in sterilized water. However, little is known about its survival in natural water when other microorganisms, such as bacteriophages, other bacteria, and protozoa, are present. Abstract In this study, spatially distributed estimates of regional actual evapotranspiration (ET) were obtained using a revised procedure of the so called “triangle method” to parameterize the Priestley–Taylor ϕ coefficient. In the procedure herein proposed, named Time-Domain Triangle Method (TDTM), the triangular feature space was parameterized considering pairs of T s –VI values obtained by exploring, for each pixel, only their temporal dynamics. This new method was developed using time series products provided by MODIS and MSG-SEVIRI sensors. Fusion energy research has in the past 40 years focused primarily on the tokamak concept, but recent advances in plasma theory and computational power have led to renewed interest in stellarators. The largest and most sophisticated stellarator in the world, Wendelstein 7-X (W7-X), has just started operation, with the aim to show that the earlier weaknesses of this concept have been addressed successfully, and that the intrinsic advantages of the concept persist, also at plasma parameters approaching those of a future fusion power plant. To understand the religious background to Wittgenstein’s work and the man himself, it is helpful to bear in mind the Catholic education his mother gave him from infancy, and to take note of at least some of the authors who influenced him in this area from adolescence and youth, for example, Angelus Silesius, Kierkegaard, Schopenhauer, William James, and the two greatest Russian writers of the nineteenth century, Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky. It may also be appropriate to add Nietzsche to this list, as we shall try to explain.

Durant el període de crisi creativa que sofreix a finals del s. XIX, Narcís Oller es dedica a la traducció. Una de les obres que tradueix és Un llibre trist, un recull factici de tres textos de Lev Tolstoi. L'estudi comparatiu de la traducció i recepció d'aquestes obres a Europa, revela que Oller utilitzà dues fonts intermèdies franceses per traduir un dels textos, La mort d'Ivan Ilitx, i una sola font per als altres dos, Tres morts i La mort al camp de batalla. La comparació amb les fonts intermèdies també posa de manifest la voluntat d'Oller de fer unes traduccions ben integrades en els sistema lingüístic i cultural català, fins al punt de provocar la il¿lusió que són textos originals.
