Several techniques are under development for image-guidance in particle therapy. Positron (β+) emission tomography (PET) is in use since many years, because accelerated ions generate positron-emitting isotopes by nuclear fragmentation in the human body. In heavy ion therapy, a major part of the PET signals is produced by β+-emitters generated via projectile fragmentation. A much higher intensity for the PET signal can be obtained using β+-radioactive beams directly for treatment. Background Parents of children with chronic conditions often experience a crisis with serious mental health problems for themselves as a consequence. The healthcare focus is on the children; however, the parents often worry about their children's health and future but are seldom offered any counselling or guidance. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs that negatively regulate gene expression at the post-transcriptional level, and they have been described as being associated with tumor prognosis. Here, miRNA profiling was planned to explore new molecular prognostic biomarkers in localized intestinal high-risk GIST. Paraffin tumor blocks of 14 and 86 patients were used in the discovery and expansion sets, respectively. Three Spirostanol Glycosides from the Seeds of Hyoscyamus Niger L.

Three steroidal glycosides of spirostane series have been isolated from the seeds of Hyoscyamus niger L.(Solanaceae). Their structures were determined on the basis of chemical evidence and extensive spectroscopic methods including one-dimensional, two-dimensional NMR and MS analysis. In the genus Hyoscyamus the given compounds have been found out for the first time.

A new flavonol glycoside, 5,4′-dimethylkaempferol 3-O-β-D-(6′′-α-Lrhamnopyranosyl) -glucopyranoside, together with three known compounds were isolated from the n-butanolic soluble fraction of underground and aerial parts of Linaria vulgaris Mill, collected on the territory of Moldova. The characterisation of these compounds was achieved by various chromatographic and spectroscopic methods (IR, UV, 13C-NMR, 1H-NMR and MS).

This article presents a possible model of parents’ training in an area at risk by a socio-economic and cultural point of view. It clarifies the theoretical framework that, during four years, has been the basis for the design, the implementation and the evaluation of several actions in a primary school in the city of Palermo. Šis darbs ir veltīts nogludinošo daļiņu hidrodinamikas metodes izpētei un pielietojumam degšanas procesa simulācijai. Darbā tiek aprakstīta SPH metode, izpētītas SPH metodes aproksimācijas īpašības. Tiek apskatīts Eilera vienādojums, Navje-Stoksa vienādojums, siltumvadīšanas vienādojums un to atrisinājumi, izmantojot SPH metodi. Darbā tiek sastādīts degšana procesa modelis, pielietota SPH metode un aprakstīti rezultāti. Simulācijas tiek veiktas programmās MATLAB un OCTAVE.
