Adolescents' engagement profiles and their association with academic performance and situational engagement

This study examined adolescents' engagement profiles and their association with situational engagement and academic performance in lower secondary school settings. The data consisted of 301 Grade 7 students from Finland. By utilizing person-oriented approach with Latent Profiling Analysis on subscales capturing students' overall engagement, four subgroups of students with different overall engagement profiles were identified. A sandwich type structure of two dimetilaminobenziliden-1,3-indandione (DMABI) derivatives placed between metal electrodes was made to investigate the photoelectrical properties of these derivatives. DMABI is an organic isolator with a wide energy gap and high quantum efficiency of the photogeneration, DMABI derivatives have received also considerable attention because of its large dipole moment and optical nonlinearities. Besides, since it is a photosensitive material, its use in solar systems is very promising. Bidentate [N, N] nickel complexes with salen type ligands for polymerization of methyl methacrylate

Otrzymano kompleksy niklu [N,N]NiBr2, które po aktywacji związkiem glinoorganicznym zastosowano w polimeryzacji metakrylanu metylu (MMA). Dwukleszczowe ligandy [N,N] uzyskano zastępując w ligandach salenowych grupy hydroksylowe podstawione do pierścieni fenylowych różnymi grupami alkoksylowymi (OMe lub OCH2C6H5). Metyloalumoksan (MAO) okazał się skutecznym aktywatorem kompleksów niklu w polimeryzacji MMA. Same kompleksy bez aktywatora nie wykazywały żadnej aktywności. Stwierdzono, że aktywność badanych układów katalitycznych rośnie ze wzrostem stosunku molowego Al/Ni. Kiinnostuin oppilaiden osallistumisesta ja tuntiaktiivisuudesta opetusharjoitteluissani ja kandidaatintutkimuksessani, joissa huomasin, että oppilaat eivät ole kovin halukkaita vastaamaan opettajan esittämiin kysymyksiin viittaamalla. Viittaamisen määrä tuntui olevan suoraan yhteydessä tuntiaktiivisuuden arviointiin. Aloinkin pohtimaan, mitä aktiivinen osallistuminen ylipäätään on ja millä kaikilla tavoilla oppitunnilla voi osallistua. Millaista osallistumista emme näe? Tästä nousi tutkimusaihe pro graduuni, jonka tuloksia esittelen tässä artikkelissa. nonPeerReviewed
