Herramienta e-learning para la programación de robots mediante entorno web

Este artículo describe los trabajos realizados para permitir a los estudiantes de diversas titulaciones de ingeniería la realización de prácticas a distancia en un laboratorio remoto desde un navegador web. Este hecho posibilita utilizar aparatos y maquinaria a distancia (inicialmente un robot industrial), pudiendo programarlos y visualizar el resultado de la programación realizada en tiempo real así como interactuar con la máquina. Adicionalmente, se propone al estudiante la realización de un curso de programación mediante diversas prácticas que debe realizar y el sistema web autoevalúa. The present work describes the results of a research conducted with 450 students and 52 laboratory teachers attending the degree course in Specialization support activities of the University of Palermo during the academic year 2017-2018. The validity of the Mcdrury’s & Alterio (2003) Storytelling model was checked thanks to the research process and in order to reinforce students’ reflective skills, narrative competence and critical revision.

Sito web del Laboratorio di Indagini e Restauro dei Beni Architettonici L.I.R.B.A. "Salvatore Boscarino", fondato nel 1982, che svolge attività di ricerca applicate al restauro del patrimonio architettonico di interesse storico ed artistico. È impegnato nel settore delle indagini diagnostiche indirette e organizza campagne d'indagini che prendono in considerazione le problematiche della conservazione delle fabbriche architettoniche, pianificando progetti diagnostici da svolgere in sito ed analisi di laboratorio.

Il contributo presenta i risultati di un’indagine che si è proposta di individuare le difficoltà e i bisogni formativi manifestati dagli studenti del Corso di Laurea in Scienze della Formazione Primaria, con particolare attenzione alle esigenze di unitarietà e di integrazione delle diverse attività formative previste: le esperienze dei laboratori, del tirocinio e delle lezioni. Si è inteso anche individuare gli studenti in ritardo nel loro percorso universitario, con la finalità di attivare un servizio di consulenza rivolto prevalentemente a loro. Adipose stem cell niche reprograms the colorectal cancer stem cell metastatic machinery.

Obesity is a strong risk factor for cancer progression, posing obesity-related cancer as one of the leading causes of death. Nevertheless, the molecular mechanisms that endow cancer cells with metastatic properties in patients affected by obesity remain unexplored. Here, we show that IL-6 and HGF, secreted by tumor neighboring visceral adipose stromal cells (V-ASCs), expand the metastatic colorectal (CR) cancer cell compartment (CD44v6 + ), which in turn secretes neurotrophins such as NGF and NT-3, and recruits adipose stem cells within tumor mass. Fetuin-A is Associated to Serum Calcium and AHSG T256S Genotype but Not to Coronary Artery Calcification

Vascular calcification has been recently associated to an increased cardiovascular risk and mortality. In few studies, Fetuin-A showed an association to coronary artery calcification (CAC), although the physiopathological mechanism underlying this association has not been fully established yet. Seventy-four patients with one or more cardiovascular risk factor and asymptomatic for coronary vasculopathy were included in the study. CAC was evaluated by Agatston score. Serum Fetuin-A levels were determined by ELISA. Molecular analysis of AHSG T256S gene variant (rs4918) was performed by PCR-RFLP. SREBP1 and 2, are cholesterol sensors able to modulate cholesterol-related gene expression responses. SREBPs binding sites are characterized by the presence of multiple target sequences as SRE, NFY and SP1, that can be arranged differently in different genes, so that it is not easy to identify the binding site on the basis of direct DNA sequence analysis. This paper presents a complete workflow based on a one-dimensional Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model able to detect putative SREBPs binding sites irrespective of target elements arrangements.
