Realizacja projektów edukacyjnych sposobem na zwiększenie szans uczniów szkół zawodowych na rynku pracy

W artykule przedstawiona została realizacja projektu edukacyjnego pt.: Opolskie szkolnictwo zawodowe bliżej rynku pracy”, który integruje szkoły zawodowe z terenu województwa opolskiego z lokalnymi przedsiębiorcami. Realizacja tego przedsięwzięcia jest odpowiedzią na potrzeby samych przedsiębiorców, którzy zgłaszali problemy w pozyskiwaniu odpowiednio wykwalifikowanej kadry. Projekt przybliża również istniejący rynek pracy młodym ludziom, którzy w najbliższej przyszłości staną się jego aktywnymi uczestnikami. Przedstawiono również wyniki badań, jakimi objęci zostali uczestnicy projektu, uwzględniające ich opinię na temat celowości, efektywności i przydatności podejmowanych działań

This article examines the labour market situation in the sector of information technology in Latvia, paying attention to the insufficiency of labour force due to the skills gap and employability of older workers. PurposeIn this study, the authors examine whether social capital embedded in individuals' social networks is connected to employees' long-term income development in Finland.Design/methodology/approachAnalyses are based on 25–35-year-old employees from the Finnish Living Conditions Survey of 1994 combined with register data on earned incomes from 1995 to 2016. The aims of this study are to find out the most key factors that have negatively influenced second-generation immigrants with different foreign origins and ethnicities in their quest for job opportunities in the Finnish labour market. This study was done through qualitative research methods, which consisted of 15 second-generation immigrants, aged 18-35. This thesis studies labor market matching and takes use of a matching function, which describes the technology how unemployed job seekers and vacant jobs search, meet and form new employment relationships. The goal of the study is twofold: First is to provide a comprehensive critical review of previous literature covering both micro models as well as empirical applications. Major limitations in empirical studies are imperfect measures of variables as well as inability to account for all relevant factors making results methodology-sensitive. Balstoties uz maģistra darba ietvaros apkopoto informāciju autore sniegusi savu vērtējumu telpiskās attīstības plānošanas izglītības sistēmas uzlabošanai Latvijā.

Working while studying: does it lead to greater attachment to the regional labour market?

This chapter studies the link between working while studying and migration. Understanding this link is important because policy-makers are often calling for actions that would cut down the hours students spend on working to shorten the graduation time. The chapter’s analysis focuses on graduates from Finnish universities, polytechnics and vocational schools in 1991–2004. It uses rich register-based longitudinal microdata constructed by Statistics Finland, and find a negative relationship between working while studying and graduate migration. An increase in student employment can thus partly explain the decline in geographic mobility among Finnish graduates from higher education.
