Role of the N-*(1535) in the J/psi -> pp and J/psi -> p(+)Lambda reactions

We study the J/psi -> p eta p and J/psi -> pK(+)Lambda reactions with a unitary chiral approach. We find that the unitary chiral approach, which generates the N-*(1535) dynamically, can describe the data reasonably well, particularly the ratio of the integrated cross sections. This study provides further support for the unitary chiral description of the N-*(1535). We also discuss some subtle differences between the coupling constants determined from the unitary chiral approach and those determined from phenomenological studies

Presencia de hiena manchada en los depósitos basales (Pleistoceno Superior final) del yacimiento arqueológico de La Cueva de Nerja (Málaga, España)

La Cueva de Nerja (Maro, témino municipal de Nerja, provincia de Málaga, S de España) contiene un importante yacimiento arqueológico en la zona de su antigua entrada (salas de la Torca, de la Mina y del Vestíbulo) cuya cronología se encuentra comprendida entre ca. 25.000 y ca. 3.000 años BP, secuencia que cubre el Pleistoceno superior final y gran parte del Holoceno. En el nivel basal de la Sala del Vestíbulo (NV13, cuadros C-4 y B-8), acotado en una horquilla cronológica comprendida entre ca. 25.000 y ca. 20.000 años BP, se han recuperado cuatro fragmentos de coprolito de color blanco atribuibles la hiena manchada de las cavernas (Crocuta crocuta spelaea).

The Village Action Association of Finland (SYTY) organizes the Village of the Year competition annually to award active rural communities. The competition has taken place since 1985, but after the village action movement was integrated into Finnish rural policy networks in the 1990s, it also became a part of rural policy instruments. The competition can be considered a governing technique that constructs norms and an ideal model for rural communities to pursue. Residual a posteriori error estimation for frictional contact with Nitsche method

We consider frictional contact problems in small strain elasticity discretized with finite elements and Nitsche method. Both bilateral and unilateral contact problems are taken into account, as well as both Tresca and Coulomb models for the friction. We derive residual a posteriori error estimates for each friction model, following [Chouly et al, IMA J. Numer. Anal. (38) 2018, pp. 921-954]. For the incomplete variant of Nitsche, we prove an upper bound for the dual norm of the residual, for Tresca and Coulomb friction, without any extra regularity and without a saturation assumption.
