Opettaja työrauhan rakentajana luokkahuoneen vuorovaikutuksessa

Työrauhaongelmat ovat viimeaikoina herättäneet runsaasti peruskoulua koskevaa keskustelua. Vuorovaikutus työrauhan takaamiseksi kouluissa näyttää nousevan keskeiseksi opettajan asiantuntijuudessa. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on ymmärtää työrauhan rakentumista opettajan ja oppilaan välisessä vuorovaikutuksessa. Tavoitteena on selvittää, millaisissa tilanteissa työrauha estyy ja millaisilla luokanhallintakeinoilla opettajat puuttuvat oppilaiden työrauhaa häiritsevään käyttäytymiseen. Physics opportunities with the Advanced Gamma Tracking Array : AGATA

New physics opportunities are opening up by the Advanced Gamma Tracking Array, AGATA, as it evolves to the full 4π instrument. AGATA is a high-resolution γ-ray spectrometer, solely built from highly segmented high-purity Ge detectors, capable of measuring γ rays from a few tens of keV to beyond 10 MeV, with unprecedented efficiency, excellent position resolution for individual γ-ray interactions, and very high count-rate capability. As a travelling detector AGATA will be employed at all major current and near-future European research facilities delivering stable and radioactive ion beams. peerReviewed
Itsearviointi suomalaisissa yliopistoissa: arvoja, kehittämistä ja imagon rakentamista

Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on analysoida suomalaisten yliopistojen ja niihin kuuluvien laitosten itsearviointia. Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan, miten yliopistoissa ja laitoksilla ymmärretään itsearvioinnin käsite, ”itse” toimijana sekä miten yliopistoissa ja laitoksilla rakennetaan imagoa ja identiteettiä itsearviointien avulla erilaisten yliopistoon kohdistuvien vaatimusten ristipaineessa. Tutkimuksen aineistona ovat suomalaisten yliopistojen vuosina 1993–2003 tuottamat yliopistotason itsearviointiraportit sekä laitostason toimijoille tehdyn kyselyn vastaukset. Praised from birth : social approval assets in the creation of a new university

Purpose – The authors explore how social approval assets, namely status and reputation, are used to legitimate and categorise a new national university. They argue that in the course of the legitimation process, status and reputation work as stakeholder-oriented value-creating benefits. The authors specifically analyse the discursive constructions and labels used in the process and how the process enables nationwide university reform.
