Particularly the distinction between T. vulgaris and T. helveticus is now definite in all stages after metamorphose. The degree of development of the vomeromaxillarfold (Triturus) respectively of the vomerfold (Salamandra) indicates whether a specimen is an adult, juvenile or newly metamorphosed one.

Medinilla magnifica Lindl., Mandevilla splendens (Hook.) Woodson, the hybrid Mandevilla × amoena ‘Alice du Pont’ (pink allamanda), and various species of Allamanda, such as A. cathartica L. and A. blanchetii A. DC. (purple allamanda), are grown in Sicily as ornamentals. After a frost in early December 2001, a sudden wilt of container-grown cuttings of these tropical species was observed in a plastic-covered production greenhouse, with ≈30% of M. magnifica plants and 70% of Mandevilla and Allamanda plants affected. Trichromatic color vision in the salamander (Salamandra salamandra)

Spectral sensitivity functions were measured between 334 nm and 683 nm in Salamandra salamandra by utilizing two behavioral reactions: the negative phototactic response, and the prey catching behavior elicited by a moving worm dummy. The action spectrum of the negative phototactic response revealed 3 pronounced maxima: at 360–400 nm, at 520–540 nm, and at 600–640 nm. In the range around 450 nm, there was a “reaction gap” where sensitivity could not be measured. The action spectrum of the prey catching behavior was entirely different: maximal sensitivity was found at 500 nm and at 570 nm. Between 500 nm and 334 nm sensitivity decreased continuously for about 1 log unit (Fig. 6).

Eiropā un īpaši Latvijā bišu pētniecībā trūkst uzziņu par bišu sastopamību, izplatību un to spēju pielāgoties pieaugošai antropogēnajai ietekmei biotopos. Bišu daudzveidību dabā vienlaicīgi ietekmē daudzi ārēji faktori un to mijiedarbība ar bišu fenotipiem. Bakalaura darbā pētīta bišu daudzveidība divās dažādi apsaimniekotās lauksaimniecības teritorijās Saldus novadā 2021. gada vasarā. Paraugu ievākšanā tika izmantota ūdens lamatu metode. Patient-centered outcomes after surgical treatment of peri-implantitis: a prospective clinical study.

Background: Peri-implantitis is an inflammatory process affecting soft and hard tissues surrounding dental implants, causing progressive marginal bone loss. Peri-implant surgery is the treatment of choice. However, evidence about its impact on patients' quality of life (QoL) is limited. This study aimed to assess pain and QoL in the first seven post-operative days and measure patient satisfaction at the end of this period. Material and methods: A prospective cohort study was conducted in patients with peri-implantitis. Niniejsze opracowanie dotyczy kobiecego piękna w aspekcie fizycznym w reklamie telewizyjnej i internetowej, a także tożsamości kobiety w popkulturze. Analizowane wizerunki bohaterek wybranych komunikatów zostały podzielone na dwa typy: kobieta zwyczajna (w tym gospodyni domowa i specjalistka) oraz kobieta idealna (w tym aktywistka, kobieta sukcesu oraz zmysłowa). Ukazano także związek schematów istniejących w reklamach z funkcjonującymi w społeczeństwie stereotypami dotyczącymi płci. Ustalono, w jaki sposób poszczególne typy bohaterek są ukazywane w reklamach oraz jakie cechy są kanoniczne dla wizerunku tych kobiet.
