Hidden charm N and Delta resonances with heavy-quark symmetry

2013

A model is developed to describe odd-parity baryon resonances generated dynamically through a unitary baryon-meson coupled-channels approach. The scheme applies to channels with light- and/or heavy-quark content. Distinct features of the model are that i) the interaction is an S-wave contact one, ii) it reduces to the SU(3) Weinberg-Tomozawa Hamiltonian when light pseudoscalar mesons are involved, thus respecting chiral symmetry, iii) spin-flavor is preserved in the light-quark sector, and iv) heavy-quark spin symmetry is fulfilled in the heavy-quark sector. In particular, baryon-meson states with different content in c or in (c) over bar do not mix. The model is a minimal one and it contai…

The next generation of laser spectroscopy experiments using light muonic atoms

2018

Precision spectroscopy of light muonic atoms provides unique information about the atomic and nuclear structure of these systems and thus represents a way to access fundamental interactions, properties and constants. One application comprises the determination of absolute nuclear charge radii with unprecedented accuracy from measurements of the 2S - 2P Lamb shift. Here, we review recent results of nuclear charge radii extracted from muonic hydrogen and helium spectroscopy and present experiment proposals to access light muonic atoms with Z ≥ 3. In addition, our approaches towards a precise measurement of the Zemach radii in muonic hydrogen (μp) and helium (μ 3He+) are discussed. These resul…

Materiality and compositorial errors of a poetical incunabulum: the contribution of textual criticism

2019

The material analysis of the witnesses of a literary work is part of the phase of recension in a process of textual criticism, which…

Deuterium hyperfine splittings in the rotational spectrum of NH2D as revealed by Lamb-dip spectroscopy

2020

Abstract In the context of radio-astronomical observations, laboratory experiments constitute a cornerstone in the interpretation of rich line surveys due to the concomitant presence of numerous emitting molecules. Here, we report the investigation of three different rotational transitions of mono-deuterated ammonia (NH2D), a species of astrophysical interest, for which the contribution of the deuterium nuclear spin to the rotational spectrum has been resolved for the first time in the millimeter- and submillimeter-wave domain. The effect of hyperfine interactions on the rotational spectrum has been unveiled by a combined theoretical and experimental approach. Quantum-chemical calculations …

Rapidity correlations in Lambda baryon and proton production in hadronic Z0 decays

1998

In an analysis of multihadronic events recorded at LEP by DELPHI in the years 1992 through 1994, charged hadrons are identified using the measurement of their energy loss and their Cherenkov angle. Rapidity correlations of \La-\La, proton-proton, and \La-proton pairs are compared. The agreement with the string and cluster fragmentation models is tested. For those pairs that frame a meson in terms of rapidity the compensation of strangeness is studied. For \La{}$\overline{\mathrm{p}}$ pairs the additional correlation with respect to charged kaons is analysed.
