The Po river has an inflection near the centre of Piacenza. In the riverbed (Maggi islets) and on the two shores, there are peculiar places with historical-naturalistic values (wetland areas near to Trebbia river; farmhouses; Genio Pontieri barrack; old industrial traces; canals; rural fields). You can imagine the curve of the river like an expanded strip that extends and compresses itself into a sinusoidal mud. W regionalizacji fizyczno-geograficznej Polski obszar Garbu Opolskiego zaliczony został do makrore-gionu Nizina Śląska i mezoregionu Pradolina Wrocławska. Kwalifikacja ta nie jest zgodna z kryteria-mi wyróżniania mezoregionów i makroregionów. Garb Opolski pod względem budowy geologicznej może być identyfikowany jako część nieodległej Wyżyny Śląskiej, choć położony jest na znacząco mniejszej wysokości niż granica hipsometryczna między nizinami a wyżynami. Landing through Informal Blue Infrastructures: the State of Exception in Planning

This paper explore the effects of great economic success in some rural areas of Southern-Eastern Sicily. This paper argue that in this context landscape turns into a "landscape of exception". In orderto explain by wich mechanisms oppression actually occurs, I will use Agamben's concepts. The case study illustrate that also the economic power can produce a system of rules wich are spatially localized, allowing it to reshape landscape by eliminating natural preserve zones and costructing elements of dominance and control. The European Landscape Convention (Florence, 2000) foresees the integration of landscape into town planning policies and spatial planning (Art.5.d). However, landscape protection instruments (landscape plans), that are active today in many European countries, particularly in Italy), almost always take sectorial value, hierarchically prevailing to other planning tools and evading the democratic process of sharing with local communities. In the last decades, the notion of the landscape has been widely expanded. This has led to a meaningless position according to which landscape does not exist because it is everywhere. The essay attempts to balance the useful new amplified conception of landscape. The ideas of Gilles Clement, the fusion of architecture and landscape symptomatically achieved by Alvaro Siza's Leca swimming pools are considered. Finally, focus is given to modern so-called landscape urbanism.

The present contribution intends to propose an epistemological reflection on the links relationships that interweave the map, cultural heritage, landscape, and places. We have indentified an interpretative horizon that intersects the scientific geographic debate with the literary subject and we have proposed a specific reading of the site of Old Gibellina, in Sicily, where reality and representation seem to converge.
