On Prefix Normal Words

2011

We present a new class of binary words: the prefix normal words. They are defined by the property that for any given length $k$, no factor of length $k$ has more $a$'s than the prefix of the same length. These words arise in the context of indexing for jumbled pattern matching (a.k.a. permutation matching or Parikh vector matching), where the aim is to decide whether a string has a factor with a given multiplicity of characters, i.e., with a given Parikh vector. Using prefix normal words, we give the first non-trivial characterization of binary words having the same set of Parikh vectors of factors. We prove that the language of prefix normal words is not context-free and is strictly contai…

Pārliecinošu valodas līdzekļu lietojums uzņēmumu misiju apgalvojumos

2019

Šajā bakalaura darbā tiek analizēti pārliecinošie valodas līdzekļi un to izmantošana uzņēmumu misiju apgalvojumos klientu uzmanības piesaistīšanai. Pētījuma datu kopums sastāv no trīsdesmit naftas kompāniju misiju apgalvojumiem. Tika secināts, ka misiju apgalvojumos izmantotie pārliecinošie valodas izteiksmes līdzekļi ietekmē lasītāju piesaistot to uzmanību. Turklāt, pētījums atklāj, ka izvēlētajā korpusā visbiežāk izmantotie pārliecinošās valodas līdzekļi ir: īpašības vārds (26%), iekļaujošā valoda (19%), vietniekvārdi (18%), atkārtošanās (17%), aliterācija (12%).

CLIL tuli taloon. Koulunäytelmä kuudessa näytöksessä: kehittämishankkeesta koulun toimintakulttuuriksi

2011

Artikkelin kirjoittaja Tuija Rasinen työskentelee tällä hetkellä palvelukehityspäällikkönä Jyväskylän kaupungin innovaatiopalveluissa. Rasinen työskenteli aiemmin luokanopettajana CLIL-opetusta toteuttavassa perusopetuksen koulussa Jyväskylässä ja on tehnyt kasvatustieteenalan väitöskirjan vieraskielisestä perusopetuksesta. Tämä artikkeli käsittelee kyseisen koulun CLIL-opetuksen 20-vuotista kehityskaarta pienimuotoisesta opetuskokeilusta koko koulun toimintakulttuuriksi. Artikkeli on kirjoitettu näytelmän muotoon. nonPeerReviewed

Miten tehdä hyvästä kielenopetuksesta entistä parempaa?

2014

Opetushallitus arvioi keväällä 2013 perusopetuksen päättövaiheessa olleiden oppilaiden kielitaitoa A-ruotsissa ja neljässä tavallisimmin opiskellussa vieraassa kielessä. Arvioinnilla selvitettiin, miten opetussuunnitelman perusteissa (2004) ilmaistut oppimistavoitteet on saavutettu, ja mitkä oppilaan taustatekijät ja oppimisympäristön piirteet selittävät oppimistuloksia. Vaikka kielelliset tavoitteet saavutettiin pääosin hyvin, niin kehittämistarpeita havaittiin erityisesti oppituntien työtavoissa ja oppilaiden käsityksissä. nonPeerReviewed

Italiani in Perú fra Otto e Novecento: marinai, commercianti, imprenditori di origine ligure

2015

Pokolenie a lingwistyka

2016

The fundamental transformations of contemporary world, which have encompassed also science and language reality, have posed a peculiar challenge to linguistics. A relevant linguistics-founded response ought to be an increased interest in all ways of language existence (concrete communication acts and their products in the form of texts, a system language, individual language awareness and collective language consciousness) as well as their interactions. Its effect should be, besides many new empirical concepts, a fuller synthesizing theory.

Aptekari (pharmacists) act as responsible pharmacists, pharmacy owners, and managers. They follow a five year Masters of Science in Pharmacy (M.Sc. Pharm.) degree course with a six month traineeship. Pomoshnik-farmacevti (assistant pharmacists) follow a three year degree with a six month traineeship. They can prepare medicines and dispense OTC medicines under the supervision of a pharmacist. The first and second year of the M.Sc. Pharm. degree are devoted to chemical sciences, ma…
