Polʹskie i russkie hristianskie èortonimy v perevodčeskom i leksikografičeskom aspekte
2021
The study of religious language in modern linguistics has opened up opportunities for various kinds of research. The object of the study is the religious vocabulary as an integral part of the religious language, which can function in various ways. Russian and Polish Christian eortonyms translation, single - and bilingual general and specialized dictionaries of Polish and Russian religious vocabulary, and works on religious language were used as the research material. Attention is drawn to the need for further research not only of the "Orthodox version" of Polish, but also of the practically unexplored "Catholic version" of the Russian religious language, since the meanings of eortonyms are …

Rešenie problemy religioznogo âzyka i stilâ v slavânskoj teolingvistike
2017
This paper analyses the notions of “religious language” and “religious style” and attempts to designate their interaction in Slavic teolinguistics. The criteria of description for the religious language and religious style are proposed. The work contains three main parts. In the first part, entitled “Religious style,” the author, based on papers published sińce the 1990s, analyses the reasoning of Polish, Russian and Ukrainian linguists conceming religious style. In the process of analyzing similarities and differences in approaches, the aforementioned phenomena are compared. The author holds the opinion that religious style is a more functional style of the national language, the emergence…

Coordinating action in technology-supported shared tasks: Virtual pointing as a situated practice for mobilizing a response
2021
Drawing on recordings of remote screen-based work meetings in Finland, this conversation analytic study investigates interactive properties of mouse cursor movements in technology-mediated shared tasks. The article illustrates how participants rely on features afforded by the input device in ways that divert from its pre-designed functions to accomplish virtual pointing gestures. These gestures serve as an organizational resource in the precursory phase of action, i.e. when a next on-screen action is observably made relevant. In this sequential environment, pointing by means of the tool is a collaborative resource: an embodied practice for sustaining co-orientation and advancing the sequent…
Conciencia emocional, estados de ánimo y rendimiento académico
2017
Abstract.Emotional awareness is the basic emotional competence, which refers to individual differences in the way of being aware of the emotional functioning. Moods appear without specific reason, and are prolonged in time. Both are involved in multiple processes that modulate behavior and cognitive processes. Overall, the literature suggests a relationship between these variables and academic performance in school, however, is a contentious issue to be determined. The objective is to study the relationship of emotional awareness and moods academic performance. The participants were 1423 children, between 8-12 years old (M=9.88, SD=1.20), of both sexes (52.4 % girls) from Valencia. Particip…
Nueva evidencia sobre la Statistical Anxiety Scale (SAS)
2014
Title: New evidence on the Statistical Anxiety Scale (SAS). Abstract: As anxiety is negatively related to academic performance, and it is broadly known the existence of both anxiety towards statistics and nega- tive statistics results, statistical anxiety may play a role of mediating negative outcomes in this subject. In this context, the Statistical Anxiety Scale (Vigil- Colet, Lorenzo-Seva, & Condon, 2008) aims to be a useful tool in the comparison of the predictive power of specific and general measures of statistics performance. In order to achieve this goal, the scale is based on three dimensions of anxiety, referred to three specific issues: regarding the exam, when asking for help or…

Icon Representations in Supporting Requirements Elicitation Process
2014
Abstract. T his paper considers the diff iculties faced by the stakeholders in general requirements engineering (R E ) . These difficulties range from the complexity of requirements gathering to requirements presentation . Affordable visualization techniques have been wide ly implemented to support th e re quirements engineering community . However, no universal characteristic s that could be associated with requirements completion have been identified so far . T he research focus of this paper is driven by the above considerations to introduce the icon - base d language comprising a set of icon notations, syntactic and semantics . Icon - based language would support the requirements engine…
The Car Resequencing Problem with Pull-Off Tables
2011
AbstractThe car sequencing problem determines sequences of different car models launched down a mixed- model assembly line. To avoid work overloads of workforce, car sequencing restricts the maximum occurrence of labor-intensive options, e.g., a sunroof, by applying sequencing rules. We consider this problem in a resequencing context, where a given number of buffers (denoted as pull-off tables) is available for rearranging a stirred sequence. The problem is formalized and suited solution procedures are developed. A lower bound and a dominance rule are introduced which both reduce the running time of our graph approach. Finally, a real-world resequencing setting is investigated.
