Introduction. Sclerosing angiomatoid nodular transformation (SANT) of the spleen is a rare benign vascular lesion with unknown etiopathogenesis and with definite features of imaging, histopathology, and immunohistochemistry. It was first described by Martel et al. in 2004, and to date, only 151 cases have been reported.Case Description. We report a case of SANT of the spleen detected in a 66-year-old Caucasian, without comorbidities, presented to our department with epigastric pain. Most cases of ileocolic intussusception are reduced by imaging-guided air or fluid enema. If unsuccessful, operative intervention is necessary. The laparoscopic approach allows inspection of the bowel, identification of intraabdominal pathology, and achieves reduction of the intussuscepted bowel in most cases. The procedure requires the combination of slow and gradual traction as well as “rolling” the cecum distally. If unsuccessful, the bowel can be delivered through an extended umbilical incision for extracorporeal manipulation, or resection if this should be necessary.

This large study aimed to determine how ovarian cyst removal affects success rates of IVF/ICSI therapies. Methods 550 patients who underwent an IVF/ICSI treatment between 2002 and 2011 with a persistent ovarian cyst ≤ 5 cm before treatment were analyzed retrospectively. 328 patientsʼ preference was to undergo a laparoscopic cystectomy and 222 patients opted for a conservative management. To cartograph the retroperitoneal infiltration of deep-infiltrating endometriosis of the rectovaginal space, we report on 467 patients who underwent laparoscopic/vaginal surgery for deep-infiltrating adenomyosis of the rectovaginal space. Exact localisation of the locoregional extension and of secondary infiltrating localisation where noted. The cervix and the rectovaginal ligament were mostly involved, while isolated lesions of the rectovaginal space were very rare. Comparisons of the most involved sites show an absolute correlation with the anatomical repartition of the pelvic sympathetic nervous system. Highlights • We describe a case report of giant renal cell chromophobe carcinoma totally treated by laparoscopic surgery. • The size of renal lesion represents a critical point in surgical approach because to perform a laparoscopic radical nephrectomy can be challenging even for skilled surgeons in giant renal tumors. • A brief review of literature was performed to identify outcomes and potentially surgical advantages of laparoscopic approach for retroperitoenal liposarcoma. • The possibility of the laparoscopic approach derives from from the preoperative identification of adipose cleavage, from the absence of invasion of major vascular axes, from the absence of distant metastatic lesions.
