Introduction: Appendiceal mucocele is a relatively rare condition characterized by progressive dilation of the appendix caused by intraluminal accumulation of mucoid substance. Its incidence is 0.07 - 0,63% of all appendectomies performed. Case report: We report the case of a 70-year-old man who came to our observation with gravative pain in right lower abdominal region. A computed tomography abdominal scan revealed a cystic/tubular structure like an appendicular mass with wall enhancement but without calcifications suggestive of a mucocele. It is the objective of this study to etablish the technique of laparoscopic exposure of all pelvic somatic and autonomous nerves. In all our patients who underwent a laparoscopic surgical approach of the retroperitoneum, exposure and assessment of the exposed nerves using laparoscopic neuro-navigation were performed. Laparoscopic surgery allows the surgical approach to all pelvic nerves, particularly to the sciatic nerve, the pudendal nerve and the splanchnic pelvic nerves. We describe a cartography of the functional anatomy of the pelvic plexus and elaborate on the concept of "laparoscopic pelvic functional surgery". © 2004 Taylor & Francis.

Abstract Background Surgeons are at risk for developing work-related musculoskeletal symptoms (WMS). The present study aims to examine the physical factors and their association with WMS among pediatric laparoscopic surgeons. Methods A questionnaire consisting of 21 questions was created and mailed to 25 pediatric laparoscopic surgeons (LG). 23/25 surgeons (92%) completed the survey. The questionnaire was analyzed and then split into 2 groups. Group 1 (LG1) included surgeons with greater laparoscopic experience, and group 2 (LG2) included surgeons with less important laparoscopic experience. Objectives: This study aims to show the treatment outcome in women affected by isolated bladder endometriosis who underwent laparoscopic surgery in our units. Only women with deep nodules located in the bladder were selected, thus excluding women with deep lesions located in other sites.
