Lapsen sosiaalinen asema koululuokassa : pysyvyys sekä yhteydet ongelmakäyttäytymiseen ja prososiaalisuuteen

Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin lasten sosiaalisen aseman pysyvyyttä ja siirtymiä toisen ja kolmannen kouluvuoden aikana sekä sen yhteyttä ongelmakäyttäytymiseen ja prososiaalisuuteen. Erityisesti oltiin kiinnostuneita siitä, ennustaako toisen luokan sosiaalinen asema käyttäytymistä kolmannella luokalla tai päinvastoin toisen luokan käyttäytyminen sosiaalista asemaa kolmannella luokalla. Tutkimus on osa viisivuotista Alkuportaat-pitkittäistutkimusta. Tutkittavina oli yhteensä 332 yksilöseurannassa ollutta lasta, joista puolet oli tyttöjä ja puolet poikia. Tämän kvalitatiivisen tutkielman tavoitteena on selvittää, millaista lasten välinen vuorovaikutus on kirjasarjoissa, joista toinen edustaa 1940−1960-lukuja ja toinen 1990−2000-lukujen vaihdetta. Tutkielmassa vertailtiin Astrid Lindgrenin Melukylä-kirjasarjaa ja Carina Wolff-Brandtin Johanssoneista kertovaa kirjasarjaa ja analysoitiin, onko lastenkulttuuri samanlaista eri aikoina.Lisäksi tarkasteltiin lasten muuta sosiaalista toimintaa eli sitä, toimivatko lapset yksin vai yhdessä ja keskustelevatko lapset leikkien säännöistä. Literature Review of Early Childhood Music Therapy Between 1990-2012

The article examines music therapy literature from 1990 to 2012 focusing on children aged 0 to 5-years old. The literature includes clinical descriptions, research articles, chapters in books, peer reviewed electronic publications, and peer reviewed journals. Altogether 125 different texts were found which fulfilled the criteria for inclusion. Simple quantitative analysis gave guidelines for deeper, comparative qualitative analysis. According to the data the older children were more often written about than younger children. Historically the dominance from individual work has been shifting to dyadic/family work. One of the differences between art and everyday life as generally conceived at least in the West is that while art tends to strive towards novelty, uniqueness and individuality, the aesthetics of the everyday is characterized by familiarity, anonymity, or even the prosaic. In this paper I want to contribute to everyday aesthetics by tentatively exploring an area which bridges art and the everyday in evident, yet under-theorises ways, namely the activity of play. Children play, but they are by no means unique in this, and while my examples will mostly come from childhood I empahsise the broader significance of play as a resource in human life. Background - This prospective longitudinal study investigates whether suspected motor problems and low preference for active play in childhood are associated with physical inactivity and low cardiorespiratory fitness in adolescence. Methodology/Principal Findings - The study sample consisted of the Northern Finland Birth Cohort 1986 (NFBC 1986) composed of 5,767 children whose parents responded to a postal inquiry concerning their children's motor skills at age 8 years and who themselves reported their physical activity at age 16 years.
