A Cross-Cultural Exploratory Study of Health Behaviors and Wellbeing During COVID-19

This study explored the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on perceived health behaviors; physical activity, sleep, and diet behaviors, alongside associations with wellbeing. Participants were 1,140 individuals residing in the United Kingdom (n = 230), South Korea (n = 204), Finland (n = 171), Philippines (n = 132), Latin America (n = 124), Spain (n = 112), North America (n = 87), and Italy (n = 80). Social networks, which are characterised by accessibility and interactivity, offer great potential for dialogue between companies and stakeholders, for example as platforms for publishing information on aspects of corporate social responsibility (CSR). In this paper, we use a synthetic index to analyse levels of CSR disclosure via Twitter, and identify explanatory variables of this disclosure by studying the demographic characteristics of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and of the company. A country of many islands, the Philippines is also a country of many languages. The Tagalog language of Manila has been chosen as the base of the national Pilipino language, even if Cebuano counts as many speakers. The languages of the Philippines have common grammatical structures, but wide differences in vocabulary. Contrary to Latin America where Spanish and Portuguese became the dominant languages, Spanish did not dominate the local languages, since colonial priests preferred to learn local languages rather than teaching Spanish to their flocks. Hydatidosis of the Central Nervous System in South America

In this chapter, we reviewed the epidemiology of cystic hydatidosis in South America, especially focusing on hydatidosis of the central nervous system. Echinococcus granulosus and E. multilocularis are the most frequent species in humans. Hydatidosis is endemic in several Latin American countries, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay. The global occurrence of hydatid cysts of the central nervous system is uniformly low, with a reported incidence of 0.9–2.1 % of all cases of hydatidosis.

Cuadernos de Agora (1956-1964) was a post-war magazine directed by the poet Concha Lagos. His short story (nearly eight years) was characterized by the independent and participatory spirit, also tended bridges to other magazines outside the Spanish territory, both in Europe and in Latin America. This text present one summary of poetic relationship between Spain and Latin America from the perspective of Cuadernos de Agora.
Défis à relever pour la politique budgétaire en Amérique latine en matière de stabilisation et de redistribution

Cet article se propose d'étudier les réponses offertes par la politique fiscale en Amérique latine dans la situation actuelle " d'atterrissage en douceur ". En fait, il apparaît que la région est exposée à un risque de choc externe de pays développés et la Chine à un risque politique. Dans ces conditions, la politique fiscale a un rôle important à jouer pour gérer ces risques en se centrant sur ses fonctions de stabilisation et de distribution. En outre, nous proposons un système de plusieurs mesures pour chaque fonction. Enfin, nous démontrons que les pays latino-américains ne souffrent pas de contrainte du financement pour appliquer nos recommandations.
