Developing education students' conceptions of the learning process in different learning environments

Abstract Changes in conceptions of the learning process of 31 educational psychology students were examined in a constructivist and in a traditional learning environment. The study was carried out in a course which dealt with theories of learning and development and consisted of three text books. The stability of sense of coherence: comparing two age groups in a 5-year follow-up study

In the original theoretical formulation, Antonovsky (1987a) proposed that sense of coherence is a developmental construct that becomes stabilized at the age of 30. The present 5-year follow-up study was designed to test this hypothesis by investigating the differences in stability in sense of coherence among two age groups the younger group of which consisted of individuals under and the older group of individuals over 30 years of age. The Weighted-Powerp schemes are based on a harmonic weighted version of the Power<emp average considered in [12], and their development is motivated by the desire to generalize the nonlinear analysis in [3,5] to interpolatory subdivision schemes with higher than second order accuracy.
