Aim: To analyze the clinical profile and rates of stroke, major bleeding and intracranial hemorrhage of patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) treated with rivaroxaban in clinical practice. Methods: Retrospective study of AF patients anticoagulated with rivaroxaban in a Healthcare Area of Valencia, Spain. Patients started treatment with rivaroxaban from July 2012 to December 2015. Results: A total of 230 patients (mean age 76.9 ± 9.9 years; CHA2DS2-VASc 4.3 ± 1.7; HAS-BLED 1.7 ± 0.9) were included. Effects of indomethacin, N omega-nitro-L-arginine (NNA) and naloxone, and of pretreatment with cyclophosphamide (CY), on the interleukin (IL)-1 beta induced inhibition of exocytotic noradrenaline release were investigated in the isolated, vascularly perfused spleen of the rat. Neurotransmitter release was evoked by perivascular electrical stimulation (4 Hz) and the overflow of endogenous noradrenaline was determined by HPLC with electrochemical detection. Abstract The mismatch negativity (MMN) component of event-related potentials (ERPs), a measure of passive change detection, is suggested to develop early in comparison to other ERP components, and an MMN-like response has been measured even from preterm infants. The MMN response in adults is negative in polarity at about 150–200 ms. However, the response measured in a typical MMN paradigm can also be markedly different in newborns, even opposite in polarity. Neuropsychiatric symptoms (NPS) are common clinical features of Parkinson's disease (PD). However, NPS profiles in PD subjects with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) have scarcely been investigated. We aimed to describe the NPS profiles of non-demented PD subjects with and without MCI. A total of 410 non-demented PD subjects were included. Of these, 164 were cognitively normal PD subjects (PD-cn), 142 PD had amnestic MCI (PD-aMCI), and 104 had PD with non-amnestic MCI (PD-naMCI).
