This special issue brings together empirical studies that investigate how bodily practices feature in action formation and action ascription in multilingual interaction (Schegloff, 2007; Levinson, 2013). Grounded in video-based conversation analysis and drawing on data from diverse sociomaterial settings, the articles investigate the contingent interactional processes through which speakers from different language backgrounds accomplish actions and achieve intersubjectivity. The simple method here presented, devoted to the evaluation of the environmental performances of transportation systems, is mainly referred to the pollutant emission factors released within the "COPERT III” approach. The method is here adopted for building up a synthetic indicator of the whole pollutant emissions from the transportation sector in a given urban area. Liikuntatieteiden laitos, Jyväskylän yliopisto, 91. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää lavatanssin fyysistä aktiivisuutta ja siihen yhteydessä olevia tekijöitä. Tutkimukseen osallistui 58 henkilöä, joista puolet oli naisia ja puolet miehiä. Tutkimukseen ilmoittautuneet vapaaehtoiset, 35–55-vuotiaat henkilöt kerättiin Suomen Media & Action - ja Tanssikoulu Happy Dancen sähköpostilistojen kautta. Lavatanssi on kasvattanut suosiotaan viime vuosikymmeninä. Terveys- ja kuntoliikuntamuotona sitä on tutkittu varsin vähän. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää lavatanssin fyysistä aktiivisuutta ja kuormittavuutta sekä niihin yhteydessä olevia tekijöitä. Yhden tanssi-illan aikana tammikuussa 2011 tanssijoiden fyysistä kuormittavuutta mitattiin sykemittareilla ja fyysistä aktiivisuutta selvitettiin askelmittareilla. Taustatietoja kerättiin sähköisellä kyselylomakkeella. Tutkimukseen osallistui 58 vapaaehtoisesti ilmoittautunutta tanssinharrastajaa. Sense experience and differentiation : Husserl on bodily awareness

This article outlines the basic ingredients of Husserl’s theory of bodily awareness. It first analyses the concepts of hyletic and kinesthetic sensibility, and illustrates the interwovenness and equiprimordiality of Me and not-Me in Husserl’s account. Second, it shows how the concept of the lived body emerges from this complex sensible foundation. Thirdly, it argues that, as the area of intersection between the Me and the not-Me, bodily awareness is the initial locus of differentiation between Me and not-Me: an area where the experiential distinction between the Me and the not-Me is constantly negotiated. peerReviewed
Minimizing fleet operating costs for a container transportation company

Abstract This paper focuses on a fleet management problem that arises in container trucking industry. From the container transportation company perspective, the present and future operating costs to minimize can be divided in three components: the routing costs, the resource (i.e., driver and truck) assignment costs and the container repositioning costs (i.e., the costs of restoring a given container fleet distribution over the serviced territory, as requested by the shippers that own the containers).
