The animal welfare policies and related public communication initiatives of McDonald’s corporation are examined in the context of the organization being named as one of the world’s most ethical organizations. The result is a framework for understanding how McDonald’s and similar organizations could warrant the status of a most ethical company. Sustainability initiatives and the stakeholders involved : a case study of the GOLDEN Project and the electric utility industry

This piece of research focuses primarily on which are the main types of sustainability initiatives within the electric utility sector with direct attention on five companies being Eletrobras, Rheinisch-Westfälisches Elektrizitätswerk AG, Fortum, Copel and Edison. Additionally this research looks at the primary stakeholders who are both the drivers and recipients of these specific set of sustainability initiatives. Making the case for policy : persuasiveness in higher education, science and technology policy discourse

Policy texts present problems, propose solutions to those problems and persuade multiple audiences of the legitimacy of the proposed problems and solutions. The rhetorical analysis of two decades of higher education and science and technology discourse in Finland, Germany, UK, Portugal and USA highlights the discursive elements that contribute to persuasiveness of policy, construe it as rational and logical, and create a sense of urgency in bringing it about.
