The notion of social licence to operate (SLO) has become a widely applied concept for companies in mining and resource extraction industries to manage their social and community relations, in the face of local criticism and opposition. SLO literature and practice have highlighted earning the trust of the local community as a key requirement for an SLO. This article addresses three weaknesses in how the current SLO literature addresses trust. The arguments are illustrated via examples from nuclear waste management in Finland, France and Sweden–three forerunners in implementing high-level nuclear waste repository projects. A rational expectations model for simulation and policy evaluation of the Spanish economy

This paper presents the model used for simulation purposes within the Spanish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance. REMS (a Rational Expectations Model for the Spanish economy) is a small open economy dynamic general equilibrium model in the vein of the New-Neoclassical-Keynesian synthesis models, with a strongly micro-founded system of equations. In the long run REMS behaves in accordance with the neoclassical growth model. In the short run, it incorporates nominal, real and financial frictions. The region of Morvan, in particular the granitic massif, forms a very large geographic area of which the prehistoric remains largely unknown. The situation regarding the zone lying between Morvan massif and the adjacent Serein, Arroux, A leine and Yonne valleys is very different. Susan Bennett, Laurence Courtois e Mario Rubino discutono delle loro nuove versioni di Kleiner Mann – was nun? di Hans Fallada. Lo spunto per il workshop è nato dalla constatazione che, dopo decenni in cui Fallada era stato quasi completamente ignorato, c’era stato un notevole incremento di interesse per le sue opere, con nuove traduzioni in Gran Bretagna, Francia, Spagna e Italia. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli kuvata lastentarhanopettajien käsityksiä lasten varhai- sista sosioemotionaalisen tuen tarpeista sekä selvittää, millaisia varhaisia sosioemotionaalisen tuen menetelmiä lastentarhanopettajat käyttävät yleisen tuen portaalla. Kvalitatiivisen tutkimuksen aineistonkeruu toteutettiin eräässä keskisuomalaisessa kunnassa. Tutkimuksen kohderyhmänä oli kunnan päiväkodeissa työskentelevät lastentarhanopettajat. Aineisto kerättiin etnografisesti suuntautuneella, keskustelunomaisella, puolistrukturoidulla teemahaastattelulla. Aineiston analysoinnissa käytettiin teoriaohjaavaa sisällönanalyysia.
