L'articolo descrive gli argomenti trattati nella rivista letteraria di poesia 'Shi tansuo' a partire dall'anno di ripresa della pubblicazione nel 1994. La rivista, infatti, era uscita tra il 1980 e il 1984 e aveva subito un'interruzione. Gli argomenti trattati offrono uno spaccato molto denso del dibattito culturale cinese contemporaneo. The article describes the topics covered in the literary poetry magazine 'Shi tansuo' from the year of resumption of publication in 1994. The magazine, in fact, was published between 1980 and 1984 and had suffered an interruption. The topics covered offer a very dense insight into the contemporary Chinese cultural debate.

Across cultures, people associate colours with emotions. Here, we test the hypothesis that one driver of this cross-modal correspondence is the physical environment we live in. We focus on a prime example – the association of yellow with joy, – which conceivably arises because yellow is reminiscent of life-sustaining sunshine and pleasant weather.
