Thermal evolution of the CO stretching band in carboxy-myoglobin in the light of neutron scattering and molecular dynamics simulations

Abstract As it is well known, the thermal behaviour of the CO stretching band in MbCO reflects the interconversion among protein’s taxonomic and lower tier substates. We compare here FTIR data on the thermal behaviour of the CO stretching band in MbCO embedded in non-liquid, water–trehalose matrixes, and neutron scattering data on dry and hydrated proteins and nucleic acids. The reactivity of five di-n-butyltin(IV) complexes, n-Bu2Sn(OR)(2) (1), n-Bu2SnO (3), [n-Bu2Sn(OR)](2)O (4), (n-Bu2SnO)(2)(CO2) (6) and (n-Bu2SnO)(6)[(n-Bu2SnOR)(2)(CO3)](2) (7) (R = CH3), with CO2, suggested as possible catalyst precursors and key-intermediates for the direct synthesis of dimethyl carbonate from carbon dioxide and methanol, has been investigated using high-pressure Sn-119{H-1} NMR (HP-NMR) spectroscopy. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo principal analizar el perfil psicosocial de adolescentesagresores de cyberbullying, teniendo en cuenta los siguientes indicadores de ajuste psicosocial:satisfacción con la vida, reputación social no conformista y conductas antisociales dentro y fueradel contexto escolar. La muestra está formada por 896 estudiantes españoles (49.7% chicos y50.3% chicas), de edades comprendidas entre los 11 y los 19 años (M = 13.9, DT = 1.5). El trabajo se centra en la gestión tradicional del agua en dos sectores mediterráneos: El SE y Levante español y la franja central de Túnez. Se trata de tierras con elementos naturales más o menos comunes, pero con elementos históricos y culturales bastante dispares. El principal elemento común es su clima mediterráneo. Se han elegido dos sectores que acentúan esta semejanza, pues ambos pertenecen a lo que se podría denominar “estepa cálida mediterránea”. El principal elemento dispar es la historia y la cultura, musulmana y cristiana, aunque con un tronco histórico común, que determinan herencias musulmanas en tierras de la Península Ibérica. EMU enlargement, stabilization costs and insurance mechanisms

This paper considers the determinants of the macroeconomic costs of joining EMU for the new EU Member Sates, and compares them with those of the EMU members. Specifically, we investigate the business cycle correlation between the candidate's economy and that of the euro area as a whole, and the ability of insurance mechanisms and fiscal policies to smooth income fluctuations. The results suggest that EMU membership would not be costly for some countries (Cyprus, Hungary and Malta) but for other countries it could have relevant costs, at least in the short-run.
