Foundations of the right of the public utilities, Rolland laws apply vigorously to the public service for electricity, where activities did not change since the advent of the « electricity fairy ». This essay analyzes the formation of the «republic» as double-sided object, a political concept and a historical paradigm, on the ground of the very influential models proposed by John Pocock and Quentin Skinner at the end of the of the 20th century. In the work of the two historians the «republic» has been represented as a political form provided with strong temporal continuity. The languages of the civic virtue and the political liberty, elaborated in ancient times (Greek or Roman), are revived in the Italian communes of the later Middle Ages (in Skinner’s vision) or during the Florentine Renaissance (according to Pocock). Studies and interventions between the 19th and 20th century the Basilian churches with basilica plant in western Sicily, outline a time of Sicilian restoration, with themes of debate and design choices that led to the medieval image of these monuments. To the most famous church of Saints Pietro e Paolo in Forza d’Agrò flanks the churches of St. Filippo of Fragalà in Frazzanò, of Saints Pietro e Paolo of Itala and S. Maria in Mili San Pietro are involved under restoration processes for the entire first half of the 20th century. Tra le moltissime costruzioni Liberty a Palermo, quest’articolo descrive Villa Antonietta, un edificio poco noto e di oscura attribuzione. Di recente è stato realizzato un’intervento di restauro; qui per brevità, si descrivono soltanto alcune questioni legate al tema del colore nel Liberty che in questa Villa sono stati riproposti con principio filologico a partire dalle preesistenze presenti a Mondello dove la Villa ha sede.
