Research production in high-impact journals of contemporary neuroscience: A gender analysis

Neuroscience or Neural Science is a very active and interdisciplinary field that seeks to understand the brain and the nervous system. In spite of important advances made in recent decades, women are still underrepresented in neuroscience research output as a consequence of gender inequality in science overall. Discussing Wartime Collaboration in a Transnational Digital Space: The Framing of the UPA and the Latvian Legion in Wikipedia

Mārtiņs Kaprāns and Mykola Makhortykh examine how memory wars and memory truces occur in a transnational space of digital media. Examining how the Ukrainian Insurgent Army and the Latvian Legion are represented on Wikipedia, the chapter discusses interactions between digital technology and the contentious memory of collaboration. El estudio fue realizado por medio de un análisis bibliométrico de la producción científica en la renombrada base de datos Scopus. In this article, we present an interview study investigating data visualization practices in Scandinavian newsrooms. Sourcing practices in online journalism : an ethnographic study of the formation of trust in and the use of journalistic sources

Arguably one of the most important factors of journalistic quality is careful source selection. Studies on online journalism have revealed working conditions which may lead to poor sourcing practices. This article seeks to answer the following questions: What sources do online journalists use, and how do they rationalize their sourcing practices? A total of 17 Finnish online journalists in 7 newsrooms were observed and interviewed over their practices of source searching, evaluation, and use.
