Difusión de las revistas biomédicas españolas en una muestra de hemerotecas nacionales

Se ha investigado la presencia de 240 títulos de publicaciones periódicas españolas de investigación biomédica en los fondos bibliográficos de 10 instituciones españolas de carácter asistencial, educativo o de investigación en medicina . En total, se han contabilizado 666 colecciones de las revista, analizadas. Por término medio, cada revista se difunde a través de dos instituciones. Sólo 83 colecciones (14,66 %) son completas. Las revistas se han distribuido según el periodo en que iniciaron su publicación. Reinhart Ahlrichs (1940-2016).

Reinhart Ahlrichs, Professor Emeritus of Theoretical Chemistry at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and one of the leading figures of both the German and international theoretical chemistry communities, passed away aged 76 on October 12, 2016. His work shaped the field of quantum chemistry and took the interplay between theory and experiment to new levels. He was also the founder of the TURBOMOLE program package.

Research Rating Anglistik/Amerikanistik of the German Council of Science and Humanities

The pilot study Forschungsrating Anglistik/Amerikanistik is the first implementation of the Forschungsrating in the humanities. This chapter presents the findings and conclusions of the rating. It consists of three parts: First, the results of the rating, first published in December 2012, are presented, as well as the conclusions drawn by the German Council of Science and Humanities. Second, Alfred Hornung who chaired the review board reflects on the Forschungsrating from the point of view of the chair of the review board as well as an Amerikanistik scholar. Third, Barbara Korte writes about the Forschungsrating from her perspective as a member of the review board and Anglistik scholar.

[Spanish medical center collaboration on smoking research from 1999 through 2003 according to the Science Citation Index].

OBJECTIVE To analyze the network structure of collaboration between medical centers sharing authorship of scientific articles on smoking. MATERIAL AND METHODS Articles reporting smoking research by authors from 2 or more Spanish medical centers between 1999 and the end of 2003 were identified through the Science Citation Index. The network of collaboration behind the research was analyzed and the most important measures of centrality were compared. The aim of this paper is to present the bibliometric indicators for Revista Espanola de Cardiologia that were obtained from the “Potential impact factor of Spanish medical journals in 2001” study financed by the Spanish Ministerio de Educacion, Cultura y Deporte. Citations to Revista Espanola de Cardiologia , its national and international impact factor, and its immediacy index were calculated with methods similar to those used by the Institute for Scientific Information. Coauthorship Networks and Institutional Collaboration in Revista Española de Cardiología Publications

The aim of this study was to analyze the patterns of investigator and institutional collaboration in papers published in the Revista Española de Cardiología.Details of coauthorship and institutional collaboration involved in articles published in the Revista Española de Cardiología in the period 2000-2005 were recorded and a collaboration index was derived. Collaboration networks were identified using the TextToPajek and PAJEK software tools.Of the 980 papers analyzed, 95.1% had been authored by two or more individuals and 51.43% involved institutional collaboration.
