Estimación del impacto económico de los museos a través de las nuevas tecnologías de la información: el caso del museo Ene.Térmica
2015
It is increasingly necessary to emphasize the potential of culture as an engine for economic development and its ability to generateincome and create jobs. For this reason, this paper evaluates the economic impact of the Ene.térmica museum in the territory in which it is located, Ponferrada (Castilla y León Community, Spain). In order to achieve this aim, the estimation of the different types of effects needed to determine the impact of economic of the activities linked to the existence of Ene.Térmica is calculated by using the tool Impactrimonio, a web-based application that applies the Input-Output Tables methodology. The results show that due to both activities of the museum and demand f…

International audience; This collaboration focuses on the data-processing software evolution which implements an editorial function in territorial information systems in various using contexts. It results from collaboration between humanities, social sciences, computer science and information and communication science researchers, and which has been established since 2000 within the ISTI21 and the MSH LEDOUX22 framework. In a previous paper, we summed up the research activities about territorial intelligence since the seventies'. Essentially, it was a friendly data processing solutions development: PRAGMA for quantitative data analysis; ANACONDA and NUAGE for qualitative data analysis. Than…
Dirección de tesis doctorales como reflejo de la Biblioteconomía y Documentación académica española: actores y temas
2020
Doctoral dissertations enable the transfer of research skills and capacities to future generations and the consolidation of lines of research in a given area of knowledge. The field of Library and Information Science in public universities in Spain is characterized by the supervision of doctoral theses by academics in the area. We identified active professors during the 2019–2020 academic year, their date of appointment as civil servants within the public university system, the dissertations that they supervised, and their participation in papers published in scientific journals. The analysis included 644 theses. About a quarter (23%) of university faculty have never supervised a doctoral t…

Discourses on governing diversity in Europe: Critical analysis of the White Paper on Intercultural Dialogue
2015
International audience; The White Paper on Intercultural Dialogue, published in 2008 by the Council of Europe, is one of the first European level attempts to provide a common guideline for diversity politics in Europe. It introduces the idea of ‘intercultural dialogue’ as a new focus and a method of governing diversity. Our paper aims to investigate the explicit and implicit meanings included in the idea of ‘intercultural dialogue’ and how the idea is rhetorically operationalized as a policy in the White Paper. The investigation is conducted with a lexical and semantic analysis of the text in the White Paper and a discourse analysis of its rhetoric, in order to explore how the ‘intercultura…

The laparoscopic approach to Acute Mesenteric Ischemia is today unclear and less debated (AMI). There are in fact no clinical evidences on this particular focus and only few articles can be found in several databases (pubmed, cochrane library, etc.), and the problem concerns both diagnostic and therapeutic utilization of the procedure. These considerations were already taken into account in 2012 EAES guidelines where the Grade of Recommendation (GoR) of laparoscopy in AMI was low in both diagnostic and therapeutic aspects. According to the new Oxford Classification [1], the use of laparoscopy in patients with suspicious or diagnosed AMI presents a weak GoR.

MuLiMs-MCoMPAs: A Novel Multiplatform Framework to Compute Tensor Algebra-Based Three-Dimensional Protein Descriptors
2019
This report introduces the MuLiMs-MCoMPAs software (acronym for Multi-Linear Maps based on N-Metric and Contact Matrices of 3D Protein and Amino-acid weightings), designed to compute tensor-based 3D protein structural descriptors by applying two- and three-linear algebraic forms. Moreover, these descriptors contemplate generalizing components such as novel 3D protein structural representations, (dis)similarity metrics, and multimetrics to extract geometrical related information between two and three amino acids, weighting schemes based on amino acid properties, matrix normalization procedures that consider simple-stochastic and mutual probability transformations, topological and geometrical…
