Social capital development of rural community based on social networking activities in Lithuania

The scholar literature on simultaneous using of social capital explore knowledge and identity resources as well as actions and interactions benefiting the community through personal bonds of individuals; issues of common trust; and adapting the current understanding in new situations. In this article, we instead examine rural community influence on social capital building of adult person in a virtual community. A quantitative survey was done in 246 local rural communities in Lithuania which reflected their community activities on a virtual basis. While the development of the Baltic corporate bond market is based on the uncovered bond segment, the elaboration of the legislative base has a devoted emphasis on the covered bonds. The shift from a country-focused to the pan-Baltic-focused capital market has been publicly acknowledged by the governments (Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Latvia, 2018) and is in line with the ongoing Capital Markets Union initiative of the European Commission (The High Level Forum on the Capital Markets, 2020). Background and Objective. A constant gap has appeared in infant mortality among the 3 Baltic States - Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania – since the restoration of independence in 1991. The aim of the study was to compare infant mortality rates in all the 3 Baltic countries and examine some of the macro- and socioeconomic factors associated with infant mortality. Šiame straipsnyje tiriamas bankų sektoriaus koncentracijos poveikis finansiniam stabilumui naudojant 134 komercinių bankų iš 17 Vidurio ir Rytų Europos šalių 2007-2012 m. laikotarpio duomenis. Empirinio tyrimo rezultatai pabrėžia vadinamąją „koncentracijos trapumo“ hipotezę, parodydami, kad aukštas koncentracijos lygis bankų sektoriuje yra siejamas su didesne bankų, ypač mažesniųjų, įsipareigojimų neįvykdymo tikimybe. Learning from Differences

This paper presents a case study of an intensive international course aimed at pre-service teachers and having a focus on inclusion. The course was funded by Nordplus. Twenty-three students from six Baltic and Nordic countries were interviewed during and after the course on their views on professionalism and their future work as teachers. The results show that the students’ understanding of professionalism was multifaceted, and they had gained several experiences of professionalism during the course. The cause of this is legislative and ownership changes in the new economy.
