2021
Purpose: COVID-19 occurred at the end of 2019 and forced the world to change daily routines. Schools and offices were closed and needed to move to online mode. Business Models and Internationalization of Software Firms: A Comparative Case Study
2007
This paper investigates the impact of software firms’ business models to internationalization behavior by using a comparative case study. The selection of the firms for this study was based on their level of internationalization. The case firm Alpha had foreign operations only in the Nordic countries whereas the case firm Beta sold their product to many distant markets. The findings, related to the general business model framework that was used, indicate that there were very few differences between the firms’ business models. However, a more detailed examination revealed that product regulations for the firms’ products were the major distinctive factor that impacted the internationalization…

The sold products are in interaction with the virtual environment, both of which are designed by the developers. However, the planning of business models in synergy with such service design is not currently well understood. This thesis adopts a conceptual-analytical perspective. By revie…

Co-evolution between streaming and live music leads a way to the sustainable growth of music industry : Lessons from the US experiences
2017
While digitization of music, particularly streaming services, has gained increasing popularity, it has also led to a steady decline in the revenues of recorded music industry. This is causing strong concern regarding a potential collapse of the music industry comparable to other print media industries such as newspaper and book publishing. However, recent changes in the music industry initiated by a resurgence of the live music industry are giving rise to some expectations for the survival and growth of the music industry. The parallel paths of increasing popularity of streaming services and a resurgence of live music suggest that these two dynamics are working together in a co-evolutionary…
