Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on selvittää alakouluikäisille lapsille tarkoitetun kielileirin ohjaajina toimineiden vieraiden kielten opettajaopiskelijoiden käsityksiä vieraan kielen opettamisesta ja oppimisesta. Vieraan kielen opettajat omaksuvat käsityksiä opettamisesta kokemuksiensa kautta, joita he kohtaavat yhteiskunnassa, koulussa, opettajankoulutuksessa ja opettajana toimiessaan. Käsitysjärjestelmät muodostuvat ja muuttuvat vähitellen aikojen saatossa. Seasonality of intra-specific cell size in the phytoplankton of Lake Kinneret

A distinct pattern of seasonal fluctuations in intra-specific cell size and/or colony size was observed in a large number of phytoplankton species from Lake Kinneret, Israel. The same species showed larger cell size or colony size in late winter and smaller size in late summer, with intermediate sizes in the interim periods. This phenomenon was exhibited by species of chlorophytes, dinoflagellates and cyanobacteria that were abundant enough to be sampled (fortnightly) and measured throughout the year. The object of this paper is to look at the extent and nature of the uses of analogy during the first century following the so-called scientific revolution.Using the research tool provided by JSTOR we systematically analyze the uses of “analog” and its cognates (analogies, analogous, etc.) in the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London for the period 1665–1780. In addition to giving the possibility of evaluating quantitatively the proportion of papers explicitly using analogies, this approach makes it possible to go beyond the maybe idiosyncratic cases of Descartes, Kepler, Galileo, and other much studied giants of the so-called Scientific Revolution.
