Este trabajo se centra en su mayor parte en el estudio de los efectos más directos de la eutrofización en los lagos someros mediterráneos y en el funcionamiento ecológico de este tipo de lagos cuando son sometidos a un incremento en la carga de nutrientes y a la presencia de peces. El trabajo también aborda el estudio de las metodologías más apropiadas para la evaluación de estos lagos mediante la aplicación de la Directiva Marco Europea del Agua (DMA). Artikkelissa kysytään, purkaako koulun monikielistyminen raja- aidan myös kahden virallisen kielen väliltä. ResumenMuchos mercados dirigidos por órdenes permiten a sus participantes introducir órdenes límite en las que no se revela el tamaño completo de la orden. En este artículo, se describe la utilización de este tipo de órdenes en el mercado español de acciones. Se muestra que una de cada cinco transacciones realizadas en el mercado español implica la detección de volumen oculto. La contribución del volumen oculto al proceso de negociación es más importante entre las acciones menos líquidas, y durante períodos de elevado riesgo de exposición de las órdenes limite. The observation of ultrahigh energy neutrinos (UHE nu s) has become a priority in experimental astroparticle physics. UHE nu s can be detected with a variety of techniques. In particular, neutrinos can interact in the atmosphere (downward-going nu) or in the Earth crust (Earth-skimming nu), producing air showers that can be observed with arrays of detectors at the ground. With the surface detector array of the Pierre Auger Observatory we can detect these types of cascades. The distinguishing signature for neutrino events is the presence of very inclined showers produced close to the ground (i.e., after having traversed a large amount of atmosphere). Tässä pro gradu -tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin 11–16 -vuotiaiden muslimimaahanmuuttajanuorten kansallista ja uskonnollista identiteettiä sekä niiden yhteyttä psykologiseen hyvinvointiin. Tutkimuksen aineisto kerättiin kyselylomakkeilla 29 helsinkiläisen peruskoulun islamin oppitunneilta. Lomakkeeseen sisältyi muiden kollektiivisen identiteetin mittareiden perusteella laadittu uskonnollisen ja kansallisen identiteetin osio sekä psykologista hyvinvointia mittaava Vahvuuksien ja Vaikeuksien Kyselylomake (SDQ-Fin). Comparison of inter-trial recovery times for the determination of critical power and W' in cycling

Critical Power (CP) and W’ are often determined using multi-day testing protocols. To investigate this cumbersome testing method, the purpose of this study was to compare the differences between the conventional use of a 24-h inter-trial recovery time with those of 3 h and 30 min for the determination of CP and W’. Methods: 9 moderately trained cyclists performed an incremental test to exhaustion to establish the power output associated with the maximum oxygen uptake (p V O2max), and 3 protocols requiring time-to-exhaustion trials at a constant work-rate performed at 80%, 100% and 105% of p VO2max. Optical limiters relying on VO2 phase transition in thin multilayer films

We propose a self-activating optical limiter device based on phase transition of vanadium dioxide in thin multilayer films. The optimal geometry reduces the transmitted power by ~ 70% and shows a recovery time of 10 ns.

Expected and observed 95% upper limits on the vector-like bottom quark pair-production signal strength (i.e. the ratio sigma_exclusion/sigma_VLQ) as a function of the branching ratio for a vector-like quark mass of 1400 GeV, asumming that the vector-like quarks exclusively decay to SM particles (and third generation quarks). If interpreting these results in models with decays to non-Standard-Model particles, one must check that the additional decays will not end up in any control regions of the relevant analyses.
