Mental Health Status of Healthcare Workers During the COVID-19 Outbreak

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic is a massive health crisis that has exerted enormous physical and psychological pressure. Mental healthcare for healthcare workers (HCWs) should receive serious consideration. This study served to determine the mental-health outcomes of 1,556 HCWs from 45 countries who participated in the COVID-19 IMPACT project, and to examine the predictors of the outcomes during the first pandemic wave. Methods: Outcomes assessed were self-reported perceived stress, depression symptom, and sleep changes. The predictors examined included sociodemographic factors and perceived social support. This thesis describes an action research carried out in a Grade 3 maths classroom in a low income, English medium school in Mumbai, India. The maths teacher in the study used the 4C model proposed by Do Coyle (2010) as a framework of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) for teaching maths in English to students whose exposure to English outside the classroom was negligible. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena on tehdä näkyväksi millaisia ideologisia valintoja Suomen neljä suurinta puoluetta ovat tehneet eduskuntavaaliohjelmissaan suhteessa hyvinvointivaltiokansalaisuusdiskursseihin 1991 vuodesta alkaen. Tarkastelemme erityisesti vaaliohjelmissa tuotettuja kansalaisen poliittisia ja sosiaalisia oikeuksia ja velvollisuuksia sekä kansalaisen ja valtion välistä oikeudellinen sidettä ja sen legitimointia. Identification of isomeric states in the N=73 neutron-deficient nuclei 132Pr and 130La
2012
Decays from isomeric states in the neutron-deficient N=73 nuclei 132Pr and 130La have been observed for the first time. Half-lives of 486(70) ns and 2.46(4) μs were measured for two isomeric states in 132Pr. The decay from the 486ns (8 -) isomer has been interpreted as a hindered E1 transition from the bandhead state of the excited πh 11/2νg 7/2 configuration. The decay from the 2.5 μs (8 +) isomer is consistent with the Weisskopf estimate for a low-energy E2 transition. An analogous 0.74(3) μs decay from an (8 +) isomer in the neighboring isotone 130La has also been observed which similarly can be explained if the transition has E2 character. Artikkelissa tarkastellaan etnologian keinoin miksi Tansanian nuoriso harjoittaa korkean hivtartuntariskin omaavia seksuaalisia käytänteitä. Tutkimus perustuu Tansanian suurimmassa kaupungissa Dar es Salaamissa tehtyihin 128 teemahaastatteluun. Analyysin lähtökohtana on ajatus siitä, että kulttuuristen odotusten ja asenteiden huolellinen analyysi antaa tutkijoille mahdollisuuden löytää uusia ratkaisuja hiv-tartuntariskin vähentämiseksi köyhillä kaupunkialueilla Saharan eteläpuolisessa Afrikassa. peerReviewed
