L’enseignement de la civilisation française en Italie durant la période fasciste dans le discours préfaciel des manuels publiés entre 1923 et 1933

In this article, we have chosen to study the prefaces of textbooks for the teaching of the French language published between 1923 and 1933 which mention, and this for the first time in Italy, in the title or the subtitle, the term Civilization. We analyze the way in which the authors of the textbooks for teaching the French language decided to present Civilization. We identify their objectives by taking into consideration the introductory texts of these manuals where we can capture the ‘declarations of intent’ of the authors. We highlight the main speeches that crisscross the prefaces of these manuals.

We observe insult as a linguistic form (Dérive and Dérive 2004; Laforest and Vincent 2004; Lagorgette and Larrivée 2004) within a deliberately heterogeneous, chronologically and genre-wise, corpus of comics and GR. L’article analyse les caractéristiques fondamentales des premiers dictionnaires du commerce italien-français : Endimio Spezia avec son Terminologia e fraseologia commerciale italiana-francese de 1899, Mario Edmondo Dozin avec le Dizionario tecnico commerciale italiano-francese de 1910 et Pasquale De Franciscis avec le Dizionarietto commerciale italiano-francese : ad uso degli alunni delle scuole serali superiori de 1911. Ces dictionnaires combleront un vide dans le panorama éditorial scolaire commercial italien.

The island of Lampedusa, in Sicily, has been in the news for years because of the landings of migrants (especially Africans). Our study is based on interviews with cultural mediators who work with NGOs and other hosting humanitarian organizations based on this extreme land of Europe. We intend to verify, through our interviews, what are the major cultural problems (Katan 2014 [1999]) in translation, the level of manipulation and the risks that translators must assume to accomplish their task.

The purpose of this paper is a quantitative and qualitative investigation into the study of onomatopoeic sounds, which can be uncovered in the French and Italian versions of Mickey Mouse. This survey will take place through a comparison between the French and Italian stories and, at the same time, by a focus on onomatopoeic sounds as the concrete signs of the use of informal language. French Corpus: Le journal de Mickey from 1934 (number 1) to 1937 (7 numbers) and Picsou (from 1977 to 1984), about 60 stories.Italian Corpus; Nel Regno di Topolino from 1936 to 1939 (8 comics) and Topolino (from 1977 to 1979, 8 comics) about 70 stories.
