In this paper, we make an attempt to improve the textual fit of English-to-Polish translation of a peculiar type of multi-word units known in corpus linguistic literature as lexical bundles (Biber et al. 1999). Inspired by a study conducted by Grabar and Lefer (2015), we used the English-Polish parallel corpus Paralela (Pęzik 2016) and the National Corpus of Polish (NKJP) to extract and explore the use — in terms of frequency distributions — of the Polish equivalents of selected English lexical bundles expressing attitudinal and epistemic stance. Multilingualism and language contact were confirmed as historical phenomena already in ancient times. However, it did not find its way into scientific research until the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries. On the typology of motion events in Aymara

This paper investigates the lexicalization pattern of motion events in Aymara, an Andean language spoken in Bolivia, Peru, and Chile. After providing a description of the morphosyntax of translational motion events, this study aims at a preliminary typological classification of Aymara within the framework of Talmy’s typology (Talmy 2000). With this purpose, three diagnostic tests have been used to determine the basic framing-typology of motion events. The author of the article has run an experiment based on extracting a portion of phraseology from an online Russian language dictionary for further corpus-driven study. On the basis of the list of 100 most common Russian nouns the author has constructed queries to the Грамота.ру web portal that led to extracting over 600 idioms. These were subsequently used to perform another search in the Russian National Corpus. The main goal of this article is to construct a small dictionary of phraseological units extracted from Грамота.ру, as well as discuss the problem of evaluation of phraseology with the use of corpus-extracted data. Los signos de puntuación son un elemento fundamental para organizar y entender la información que leemos y escuchamos en los medios de comunicación. En este artículo se analiza el tratamiento que los libros de estilo periodísticos realizan de la puntuación y cuál es la importancia que conceden al tema. En concreto, nos centramos en los libros de estilo de los diarios El País, El Mundo, ABC y del grupo de comunicación Vocento. Analizamos, igualmente, el enfoque que sobre los signos de puntuación realizan los medios audiovisuales (radio y televisión), y lo hacemos a través de un manual sobre redacción y locución en radio y del Manual de estilo de TVE
