Resum:La Vita Christi de sor Isabel de Villena es gestà en la dècada dels 60 del segle XV a partir dels tractats que l’abadessa del monestir de la Trinitat de València usava per a formar les seues monges i per a suscitar en elles la contemplació de Jesús a través dels ulls de Maria i de les dones que l’envoltaren. La comparació de la llengua i de l’estil del Tractat de la Passió i els de les edicions de 1497 i 1513 ha permès comprovar que aquells s’adaptaren a la sensibilitat religiosa i lingüística de cada moment. This paper presents some of the results of two online surveys addressed to professionals working in localisation and video game testing, respectively. The aim is to analyse the ergonomics of CAT tools usage for game localisation by contrasting the data with current business practices and common linguistic bugs. General and special education teachers’ knowledge about reading comprehension processes and instructional practices

AbstractThe study investigated teachers’ knowledge of reading comprehension processes and reading comprehension instruction. The study was carried out among teachers (N = 65) in Estonia. The content analysis classified qualitative data from semi-structured interviews as quantitative data. The results showed that teachers’ content knowledge about reading comprehension processes and pedagogical knowledge of reading comprehension instruction were considerably variable yet mostly limited. Special education teachers (n = 37) mentioned a wider range of reading strategies than classroom teachers (n = 28). We used magnetoencephalography to elucidate the cortical activation associated with the segmentation of spoken words in nonreading-impaired and dyslexic adults. The subjects listened to binaurally presented sentences where the sentence-ending words were either semantically appropriate or inappropriate to the preceding sentence context. Half of the inappropriate final words shared two or three initial phonemes with the highly expected semantically appropriate words. Two temporally and functionally distinct response patterns were detected in the superior temporal lobe. In this paper, our aim is to widen the prevailing foundations of conceptual modeling theories and practices, particularly in the context of information systems development. The approach shifts the focus from the link between a model and the modelled reality to the link between human cognition and the model. Our approach combines theoretical issues of different disciplines relevant to conceptual modeling. We shall make an explicit distinction between individual conceptions and interpersonal concepts and show how this distinction could be utilized to have conceptual models of a better consistency.
