Big data analysis has become an important trend in computer science. Quality improvement is a constant in current industry trends. In this paper, we present an idea of quality improvement based on big data analysis with the aid of linked data and ontologies in order to implement it in the case of automotive parts production. We consider defective automotive products and try to find the best refurbishment solution for them considering their characteristics. This research proposes a new approach to data quality evaluation comprising 3 aspects: (1) data object definition, which quality will be analyzed, (2) quality requirements specification for the data object using Domain Specific Language (DSL), (3) implementation of an executable data quality model that would enable scanning of data object and detect its shortages. Schema-Backed Visual Queries over Europeana and Other Linked Data Resources

We describe and demonstrate the process of extracting a data-driven schema of the Europeana cultural heritage Linked data resource (with actual data classes, properties and their connections, and cardinalities) and application of the extracted schema to create a visual query environment over Europeana. The extracted schema information allows generating SHACL data shapes describing the actual data endpoint structure. The schema extraction process can be applied also to other data endpoints with a moderate data schema size and a potentially large data triple count, as e.g., British National Bibliography Linked data resource.
SimpleBIM: From full ifcOWL graphs to simplified building graphs

International audience; Recent research in semantic web technologies for the built environment has resulted in several proposals to further improve information exchange among stakeholders from the domain. Most notable is the production of several OWL ontologies that allow to capture building data in RDF graphs. For example, an ifcOWL ontology allows to capture IFC data in an RDF graph. Global RDF Vector Space Embeddings

Vector space embeddings have been shown to perform well when using RDF data in data mining and machine learning tasks. Existing approaches, such as RDF2Vec, use local information, i.e., they rely on local sequences generated for nodes in the RDF graph. For word embeddings, global techniques, such as GloVe, have been proposed as an alternative. In this paper, we show how the idea of global embeddings can be transferred to RDF embeddings, and show that the results are competitive with traditional local techniques like RDF2Vec.
LinkedSaeima: A Linked Open Dataset of Latvia’s Parliamentary Debates

This paper describes the LinkedSaeima dataset that contains structured data about Latvia’s parliamentary debates from 1993 until 2017. This information is published at http://dati.saeima.korpuss.lv as Linked Open Data. It is a part of the Corpus of Saeima (the Parliament of Latvia) released as open data for multidisciplinary research. The data model of LinkedSaeima follows the data structure of the LinkedEP dataset with a few modifications. The dataset is augmented with links to the Wikidata knowledge base that provide additional information about the speakers and named entities mentioned in the corpus.

Similarity Mashups for Recommendation

Recommendation systems are becoming a state of the art for web-based systems as they produce additional product exposure and customer satisfaction. The Semantic Web and mashups can improve recommendation systems and provide new ways for their creation. In the web it is possible to analyze product descriptions and to use Linked Data for characterizing the similarity of objects or of objects and user interests. In this chapter, we give a brief overview of existing technical approaches and tools for creating recommendation systems that can be used to create mashups as recommendation systems.

Still, in each of the two considered domains several ontologies have been defined for these terms without seeking an alignment among their definitions.
