Promocijas darba mērķis ir analizēt sūnu sastāvu, to metabolītus un vides stresa ietekmes uz tiem. Veikta sūnu sekundāro metabolītu ekstrakcijas apstākļu izpēte, kas nodrošina liela skaita vielu identifikāciju. Sūnu lipīdi satur daudzas bioloģiski aktīvas vielas un veikta to aktivitātes izpēte.
