The subject of the study is analyzing the impact of coconut fibre and salt mixture used for eliminating slipperiness on roads on roadside soil. The tests were done on the soil samples taken from the fixed areas twice: in the autumn before applying the composite and in the following spring. Laboratory tests indicated decrease of conduciveness in soil after using the composite in wintertime. This can cause decreasing saltiness of roadside soil. In contrast to commonly used methods of eliminating slipperiness on roads with salts only applying the composite could diminish the negative effects of roadside soil saltiness.

Izmantojot autora izveidoto kvalitātes modeli integrētajai izstrādes videi, tiek salīdzinātas Android Studio un Eclipse, kas ir divas integrētās izstrādes vides, ko izmanto Android lietojumprogrammu izstrādē. Kaut gan Eclipse agrāk bija plašāk izmantojama, mūsdienās Android Studio ir daudz vairāk iespēju. Bakalaura darba ietvaros tiek aprakstīta Android platforma un tās attīstības vēsture. Paaugstināts holesterīna līmenis ir problēma, kas mūsdienās skar arvien vairāk cilvēku. Hiperholesterinēmija var radīt aterosklerozi, kas ir patoloģiskais pamats vairumam sirds un asinsvadu slimību, tostarp miokarda infarkta, insulta un perifēro artēriju slimību attīstībai. Aterosklerotisko bojājumu veidošanās ir hronisks process, ko raksturo pārmērīgas holesterīna nogulsnes artēriju sieniņās. Il contributo esamina quattro statue lignee, due delle quali inedite, custodite nelle chiese di Ficarazzi, piccolo centro delle province di Palermo. Si tratta di sculture realizzate tra la fine del Settecento e i primi decenni del secolo successivo, che vengono ricondotte per la prima volta al noto Filippo Quattrocchi e alla sua bottega, in particolare al figlio Francesco. BACKGROUND: The loss of corticosteroid efficacy is an important issue in severe asthma management and may lead to poor asthma control and deterioration of airflow. Recent data indicate that Mucin 1 (MUC1) membrane mucin can mediate corticosteroid efficacy in chronic rhinosinusitis, but the role of MUC1 in uncontrolled severe asthma is unknown. The valorization of side streams from fishery and aquaculture value-chains is a valuable solution to address one of the challenges of the circular economy: turning wastes into profit. Side streams produced after filleting of sea cage fattened bluefin tuna (Thunnus thynnus) were analyzed for proximate composition and fatty acid profile to evaluate the possibility of producing tuna oil (TO) as a valuable source of ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) and testing its bioactivity in vitro.
